NOW TODAY'S MAIN FOCUS IS ON THE LATE MODEL HEMI ENGINE, AND PROCHARGER HAS THE WHOLE FLEET OF CARS, TRUCKS, AND JEEPS COVERED, WHETHER IT'S THE FIVESEVEN, THE SIXONE, OR THE MONSTER SIX POINT FOUR LITER POWERHOUSE.

(WALT)>> WE HAVE A RACE INTERCOOLER OPTION UPGRADE AS WELL. WE CAN ALSO FIT SUPERCHARGERS UP TO OUR FONEA-94 SUPERCHARGER, WHICH IS AGAIN A NINE INCH HOUSING SIMILAR TO THESE BLOWERS BUT WILL SUPPORT 1,200, 1,300 HORSEPOWER. SO YEAH, DEFINITELY A LOT OF OPTIONS THAT YOU CAN GET ON THESE KITS.

(WALT)>> THEY ARE. THIS KIT IS USING OUR BLACK POWDER COATED OPTION. SATIN FINISHED IS THE STANDARD, BUT AS I MENTIONED BLACK'S AN OPTION AS WELL AS A POLISHED FINISH IF YOU WANT TO DRESS IT UP A LITTLE BIT TOO.

(MIKE)>> WELCOME BACK TO THE PROCHARGER INSTALL ON A SIX POINT FOUR LITER HEMI POWER PLANT. NOW THE VERY FIRST STEP OF THE INSTALL IS TO LOCATE THE INSTALLATION GUIDE. NOW THIS THING IS SUPER DETAILED AND IT'LL HELP YOU OUT IN A BIG, BIG WAY TO SPEND A LITTLE TIME AND GET FAMILIAR WITH IT. IT LETS YOU KNOW WHAT TOOLS AND SUPPLIES YOU'LL NEED, ALONG WITH HOW TO SEND AND RECEIVE THE TUNE FILES FROM PROCHARGER. THEN BASICALLY IT GUIDES YOU THROUGH THE INSTALL WITH COLOR PHOTOS OF EACH STEP. NOW WE'RE NOT GOING TO SHOW YOU EVERY ONE, BUT WE WILL FOCUS ON THE LARGER PARTS AND PROCEDURES TO GET THIS SIX POINT FOUR LITER HEMI OVER 700 HORSEPOWER. WE'LL START BY GETTING THE BIG STUFF OUT OF THE WAY, LIKE THIS FACTORY AIR BOX. NEXT TO COME OFF IS THE BIGGEST OF THE JOB, THE ENTIRE FRONT FASCIA. TAKE YOUR TIME WITH THIS. YOU DON'T WANT ANY DAMAGE TO THE PAINT SURFACE OR THE RETAINING CLIPS. THE NEXT ITEM IS DECENT IN SIZE TOO. THE WINDSHIELD WASHER RESERVOIR IS REMOVED AS WELL.

(PAT)>> THE NEXT STEP IS TO PREVENT THE FACTORY PRESSED ON HARMONIC BALANCER FROM ROTATING DUE TO THE ADDITIONAL FORCE OF THE SUPERCHARGER BELT, BUT PROCHARGER PROVIDES A CRANK PINNING KIT TO MAKE IT A SIMPLE TASK. IT HAS A DRILL FIXTURE, A HEX BOLT TO HOLD THE FIXTURE IN PLACE, A QUARTER INCH HIGH SPEED STEEL DRILL, AND A QUARTER INCH STEEL DOWEL PIN. NOW IT IS DOWN TIGHT IN THE ENGINE BAY. SO WE WON'T BE ABLE TO SHOW YOU THE STEPS, BUT HERE IS A LOOK AT HOW THE TOOL WORKS. THE JIG IS PLACED ON THE BALANCER AND SECURED WITH THE HEX BOLT, AND THEN TAPE IS PLACED ONE AND FIVEEIGHTHS FROM THE TIP OF THE DRILL BIT. SIMPLY DRILL UNTIL THE TAPE MEETS THE EDGE OF THE FIXTURE. REMOVE THE TOOL AND CLEAN OUT THE HOLE AND INSERT THE DOWEL. IT'S THAT EASY!

(MIKE)>> THE TOP RADIATOR HOSE HAS TO BE REMOVED. THE SERPENTINE BELT IS PULLED BY ROTATING THE TENSIONER COUNTER CLOCKWISE. NOW THE 16 MILLIMETER BOLT IS REMOVED TO ALLOW THE TENSIONER TO COME OFF. THE IDLER PULLEY IS REMOVED, ALONG WITH THE LOWER BOLT HOLDING THE BRACKET. THREE MORE FASTENERS COME OUT, WHICH IS WHERE THE SUPERCHARGER'S MAIN BRACKET WILL ATTACH TO. PROCHARGER'S BRACKET ASSEMBLIES ARE MADE FROM 60-61 BILLET ALUMINUM AND CNC'ED TO EXACT TOLERANCES. NOW THE ENGINEERS DESIGNED THESE NOT ONLY FOR THE UTMOST STRENGTH, BUT ALSO TO BE ABLE TO UPGRADE TO A BIGGER SUPERCHARGER WITHOUT THE NEED OF A NEW BRACKET OR MOUNTING LOCATIONS. IT'S INSTALLED STARTING WITH THE TOP LEFT SPACER AND SOCKET HEAD CAP SCREW. THEN WORK YOUR WAY TO THE DIFFERENT MOUNTING LOCATIONS. THERE ARE FOUR. THE BRACKET ALSO HOUSES NEW IDLER PULLEYS.

(PAT)>> LIKE WALT MENTIONED EARLIER, THE PONESCONE IS WHAT COMES STANDARD WITH THIS HO KIT, AND IT WILL SUPPORT 825 HORSEPOWER. WE DECIDED TO UPGRADE TO THE NEWLY RELEASED PONEX UNIT, WHICH WILL GIVE 10 TO 15 HORSEPOWER EXTRA AT THE SAME BOOST LEVEL AS THE PONESCONE. THAT'S BECAUSE IT HAS A MORE EFFICIENT IMPELLER AND COMPRESSOR DESIGN. THE DRAIN LINE MAKES FOR EASY SERVICE WHEN THE OIL IN THE CHARGER NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. IT ACCEPTS ONE BOTTLE OF PROCHARGER'S OIL. THEY SEND FOUR IN THE KIT, AND IT SHOULD BE CHANGED EVERY 5,000 TO 6,000 MILES. THE PROCHARGER CAN NOW BE MATED WITH THE BRACKET. SOCKET HEAD CAP SCREWS SECURE IT.

(MIKE)>> SOME OF THESE CARS HAVE SHAKER HOODS THAT ARE FUNCTIONAL. HOW DOES THE PROCHARGER INTERFERE WITH THAT?

(WALT)>> WELL YOU'RE RIGHT MIKE, THE FIVESEVEN RT CHALLENGERS AS WELL AS THE SIXFOUR SCAT PACK CARS, THE SHAKER, THAT'S A REALLY COOL PIECE, REALLY COOL FUNCTIONAL SETUP. THAT'S KIND OF THE BEAUTY OF OUR SUPERCHARGER LOCATION AND AIR FILTER SETUP IS THAT YOU CAN USE THAT SHAKER WITH NO OTHER MODIFICATIONS.

(PAT)>> WHEN YOU MAKE BOOST YOU CREATE HEAT. PROCHARGER MAKES ALL OF THEIR INTERCOOLERS IN HOUSE RIGHT HERE IN THE USA. IT ENSURES GREAT QUALITY CONTROL AND CONSISTENCY WITH HOW EFFICIENT THE COOLERS ARE. THIS IS THE HIGH OUTPUT COOLER, WHICH KEEPS THE TEMPS WITHIN 30 DEGREES OF AMBIENT DURING WIDE OPEN PULLS AT THE SEVEN POUNDS OF BOOST THIS JEEP WILL PRODUCE.

(PAT)>> WE ARE MOVING RIGHT ALONG ON THE PROCHARGER INSTALL ON THIS BEAUTIFUL 2017 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE SRT EIGHT. PROCHARGER'S MANUAL GIVES A GREAT ILLUSTRATION OF HOW THE ENTIRE SYSTEM LOOKS INSTALLED. SO IT MAKES IT EASY TO GET EVERYTHING WHERE IT NEEDS TO BE.

(MIKE)>> WE'LL START BY GETTING THE CHARGE PIPES PLUMBED FROM THE SUPERCHARGER TO THE INTERCOOLER. THE FIRST COUPLE OF SECTIONS WE PREASSEMBLED. THE TOP CONNECTS TO THE SUPERCHARGER'S OUTLET. NEXT TO GO ON IS THE PRO FLOW BYPASS ASSEMBLY. NOW THIS IS MADE OF BILLET ALUMINUM AND IS DESIGNED FOR SUPER HIGH FLOW AND QUIET OPERATION FOR STREET DRIVEN VEHICLES. NOW PROCHARGER MAKES THIS IN HOUSE. THEY HAVE SIX DIFFERENT VALVES AVAILABLE FOR VARYING POWER AND BOOST LEVELS AS WELL AS SOUND PREFERENCE. NOW WE CAN MAKE THE CONNECTION TO THE INTERCOOLER. THE PIPES ARE DESIGNED TO PROPERLY CLEAR ALL THE FACTORY COMPONENTS TO AVOID ANY VIBRATIONS, WHICH CAUSE ANNOYING RATTLES. FROM THE PASSENGER SIDE INTERCOOLER WE HAVE ANOTHER SECTION OF PIPE TO PASS THROUGH THE CORE SUPPORT AREA. THEN THIS LARGE SECTION RUNS ACROSS THE TOP OF THE RADIATOR AND MEETS THE THROTTLE BODY. WITH THIS CONNECTION TIGHT THE ROUTING FROM THE OUTLET OF THE SUPERCHARGER TO THE INTAKE IS COMPLETE. THE INTAKE AIR TEMP SENSOR HAS BEEN RELOCATED TO THE BOTTOM OF THIS TUBE. IT WAS IN THE FACTORY AIR BOX AND WAS CLOSER TO THE STOCK HARNESS. SO PROCHARGER INCLUDES THIS EXTENSION HARNESS TO MAKE THE CONNECTION. REPLACING THE FACTORY WINDSHIELD WASHER TANK IS THIS FABRICATED ONE FROM PROCHARGER. NOW IT HOUSES THE FACTORY PUMPS AS WELL AS THE FACTORY LEVEL SENDER. IT ATTACHES TO THE VEHICLE WITH SUPPLIED HARDWARE ON THE SIDE OF THE RADIATOR SUPPORT.

(PAT)>> THE SAME GOES FOR THE COOLANT RESERVOIR, WHICH WAS ALSO FABRICATED IN HOUSE FROM PROCHARGER JUST LIKE THE WINDSHIELD WASHER TANK, AND IT GOES BEHIND THE PASSENGER SIDE HEADLIGHT.

(MIKE)>> THIS SUPPLIED VACUUM MANIFOLD SPLICES INTO THE BRAKE BOOSTER LINE. NOW IT'S HERE TO SUPPLY A VACUUM SIGNAL TO THE SURGE VALVE. THIS ONE HERE WILL BE USED ON THE DYNO. A THREESIXTEENTHS LINE MAKES THE CONNECTION TO THE VALVE.

(PAT)>> NOW THE FUEL SUPPLY LINE IS DISCONNECTED. FOUR BOLTS ARE REMOVED TO FREE UP THE RAIL. THEN ALL THE INJECTOR CONNECTORS ARE DISCONNECT AND THE WHOLE SHABANG LIFTS OFF. THIS IS SO WE CAN SWAP OUT THE FACTORY INJECTORS FOR THESE 52 POUNDS PER HOUR ONES SUPPLIED WITH THE SYSTEM. IT ALL GOES BACK ON THE SAME WAY IT WAS REMOVED.

(MIKE)>> THE FACTORY MAF SENSOR IS A ONE BAR, WHICH IS EQUIVALENT TO ONE ATMOSPHERE. SO IT READS FROM FULL MANIFOLD VACUUM TO NO VACUUM, WHICH HAPPENS AT WIDE OPEN THROTTLE. NOW THE SUPPLIED MAF SENSOR FROM PROCHARGER IS A TWO BAR, WHICH IS EQUIVALENT TO TWO ATMOSPHERES. NOW THIS WILL READ FROM FULL MANIFOLD VACUUM ALL THE WAY UP TO 14.7 PSI OF POSITIVE PRESSURE IN THE INTAKE TRACK, WHICH IS NEEDED TO SEE THE BOOST FROM THE PROCHARGER. THE FINAL HARD PART TO GO ON FROM PROCHARGER IS THE INLET TUBE AND CONICAL AIR FILTER. NOW THE RADIATOR IS TOPPED OFF WITH COOLANT, AND THE TUNE IS FLASHED INTO THE ECM USING A DIABLO HAND HELD PROGRAMMER. THE PROCHARGER TUNE IS LOADED INTO IT. THE INSTALL IS DONE AND WE'RE ALMOST READY TO HEAD OVER TO THE CHASSIS DYNO. BECAUSE OF THESE SIMILAR HEMI ENGINE PLATFORMS BETWEEN THIS JEEP, DODGE CHALLENGERS AND CHARGERS, RAM TRUCKS, AND CHRYSLER 300-C'S, THE INSTALL TIME IS ABOUT THE SAME FOR ALL OF THEM, RIGHT AT EIGHT TO 10 HOURS.

(PAT)>> IF YOU HAVE MECHANICAL SKILLS AND CAN FOLLOW SIMPLE INSTRUCTIONS YOU CAN DEFINITELY INSTALL THIS KIT. NOW BECAUSE THE WAY OF THE JEEP'S DRIVE SYSTEM WORKS WE ARE GONNA ACTUALLY DISCONNECT THE FRONT DRIVESHAFT TO MAKE OUR PULLS. THAT WAY WE DON'T RUN THE RISK OF DAMAGING ANY OF THE JEEP'S DRIVELINE, AND YOU'RE NOT GONNA WANNA MISS THAT. SO STAY WITH US.
