NOW ALL COOLING FAN RELAYS ARE CONTROLLED ON THE GROUND CIRCUIT WHERE IT NORMALLY TRAVELS OUT INTO THE ENGINE

BAY AND IT'S ATTACHED TO THE TEMPERATURE PROBE. WHEN THE ENGINE REACHES OPERATING TEMPERATURE, IT GROUNDS THE PROBE, THAT'S WHAT GROUNDS THE RELAY, TURNING IT ON AND THAT'S WHAT CAUSES THE FAN TO RUN.

NOW BY ADDING A THREE POSITION SWITCH INTO

THAT GROUND WIRE, WE'LL GET EVERYTHING THAT BRIAN IS AFTER. IT'S SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED TO HAVE A FUEL

LINE RAN INSIDE OF IT. AND IT PROTECTS THE RADIANT HEAT COMING OFF THE EXHAUST FROM BOILING THAT FUEL BY PUTTING THIS ON THE FUEL IN CERTAIN KEY AREAS, LIKE WHERE IT RUNS PAST THE MUFFLER OR MAYBE A CATALYTIC CONVERTER, OR SPECIFICALLY ON THE FIREWALL IF IT'S CLOSE TO THE MANIFOLD. TO MAKE THE ENGINE RUN, BUT WHAT'S REALLY IMPRESSIVE ABOUT THIS KIT IS HOW IT'S TUNED. YOU DON'T NEED TO SPEND A LOT OF TIME ON A LAP TOP UPLOADING FILES INTO THE COMPUTER, AND THAT'S BECAUSE IT IS SELF LEARNING THANKS TO THE WIDE BAND OXYGEN SENSOR THAT WE'LL MOUNT IN THE EXHAUST PIPE. ONCE EVERYTHING'S INSTALLED INTO THE RIG, ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS ANSWER A FEW QUESTIONS ON THE HANDHELD AND THIS BUGGY WILL BE READY TO START.

ONCE THE THROTTLE BODY IS BOLTED ONTO THE INTAKE, A COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR NEEDS TO BE INSTALLED INTO THE ENGINE AS WELL.

THEN THEY'RE BOTH HOOKED UP AND PLUGGED INTO THE MAIN HARNESS. IF YOU'RE UPGRADING FROM A CARBURETOR TO ELECTRONIC FUEL INJECTION, YOU WILL NEED TO UPGRADE YOUR FUEL SYSTEM AS WELL. THAT MEANS ALL NEW FUEL PUMP AND LINES. HOLLEY HAS KITS TO SOLVE THIS PROBLEM AS WELL THAT WILL INCLUDE EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO GET THE FUEL FROM YOUR FUEL TANK UP TO YOUR NEW THROTTLE BODY INJECTION. WITH THE WIDE BAND OTWO SENSOR IN THE EXHAUST, ALL

THAT'S LEFT TO DO IS TO PROGRAM THE ECU BY ANSWERING SOME SIMPLE QUESTIONS ON THE HANDHELD TUNER.
