FITTING BUMPERS, SUSPENSION SEATS, CUSTOM ROOF RACK,
AND A STATE OF THE ART SOUND SYSTEM, THE PERFECT RIG
TO HANDLE ROUGH ROADS,
AND THE ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE.
(IAN)>> TODAY ON XTREME WE'RE BACK WORKING ON OUR 2013 JK THAT WE'RE PUTTING TOGETHER AS A PROMOTIONAL VEHICLE FOR MAGNAFLOW. NOW IF YOU GUYS REMEMBER, THIS IS GOING TO BE A THEME BUILT RIG. WE'VE ALREADY TAKEN CARE OF EVERYTHING NEEDED TO TURN THIS JEEP INTO A HARDCORE OFF ROADER. AXLES, TIRES, WHEELS, LIFT, AND ARMOR ALL THE WAY AROUND. NOW TODAY IS THE FUN DAY. THIS IS THE DAY WHERE WE TAKE THE TURN AND WE START FOCUSING ON THE OVERALL LOOK OF THE VEHICLE AND HOW IT'S GOING TO TIE EVERYTHING ALL TOGETHER. OBVIOUSLY THE FIRST THING THAT YOU PROBABLY NOTICED THAT'S DIFFERENT IS THIS JEEP'S NO LONGER WHITE, AND THAT'S BECAUSE IT'S BEEN WRAPPED. THIS FLAT SILVER FULL VEHICLE WRAP TOOK JUST OVER A DAY TO APPLY. AND IT NOT ONLY GIVES MAGNAFLOW A PLACE TO PUT SOME LOGOS TO PROMOTE THE NEW MF GEAR CLOTHING LINE, IT ALSO COMPLETELY CHANGES THE LOOK OF THE JEEP. THE MACHINED SURFACE OF THE WRAP HELPS TO GIVE THE TRUCK A DARKER, MORE SINISTER LOOK. AND IT REALLY DRIVES HOME OUR URBAN ASSAULT ZOMBIE ATTACK THEME. BELIEVE IT OR NOT IT'S A DIRECT COLOR MATCH TO THE RAW FINISH AVAILABLE ON SOME MAGNAFLOW MUFFLERS. NOW THERE ARE A LOT OF DIFFERENT BUMPER COMBINATIONS AVAILABLE FOR THE JEEP JK. BUT WHEN WE SAW THE NEWLY DESIGNED FRONT BUMPER FROM FAB FOURS, WE KNEW IT WAS PERFECT FOR THIS RIG.
NOW LIKE ALL THEIR BUMPERS, IT'S CNC CUT AND BENT AT A THREESIXTEENTHS AND QUARTER INCH PLATE FOR STRENGTH. BUT WHAT REALLY SOLD US ON THIS BUMPER WAS THE OVERALL DESIGN. IT'S A NARROWED SQUARED OFF BUMPER THAT'LL WORK GREAT
WITH OUR FLAT PLATE FENDERS. AND THIS INTEGRATED WINCH MOUNT GRILL PROTECTOR REALLY GIVES THE FRONT OF OUR JEEP AN AGGRESSIVE LOOK AND PROVISIONS TO MOUNT OUR RIGID FOUR PACK LED LIGHTS. NOW BELIEVE IT OR NOT THIS ENTIRE BUMPER WAS DESIGNED AROUND THE NEW WARN ZEON SERIES OF WINCHES. NOW THIS IS A 10,000 SSERIES, AND YOU CAN SEE THAT THE DESIGN HAS COMPLETELY CHANGED.
IT'S A LARGER HOUSING AND INTEGRATES A COMPLETELY REDESIGNED PLANETARY GEAR SET THAT RUNS QUIETER AND FASTER THAN THE PREVIOUS WINCHES. NOW THIS FLAT BLACK POWDER COAT FINISH WILL JUST HELP TIE IN WITH THE BUMPER ON THIS TRUCK. AND WHEN THE ENTIRE PACKAGE IS ON THE FRONT OF THE JK, THIS TRUCK WILL LOOK LIKE IT'S READY TO CHASE
DOWN THE ZOMBIE HOARD. THE WARN WINCH MOUNTS ONTO THE MOUNTING PLATE THAT'S INTEGRATED INTO THE BUMPER. THEN THE STOCK BUMPER MOUNTING HOLES ON THE FRONT OF THE JEEP NEED TO BE ENLARGED SLIGHTLY, AND THE BUMPER MOUNTS TO THE FRONT OF THE FRAME.
ONCE HOOKED UP TO THE BATTERY, A SYNTHETIC WINCH LINE IS SPUN ONTO THE DRUM AND THE HOOK IS INSTALLED. OUT BACK, THE REAR BUMPER USES THE SAME FACTORY MOUNTS JUST LIKE THE FRONT. ONCE IT'S BOLTED UP TO THE FRAME, THE NEW FULL SIZE SWING OUT TIRE CARRIER IS DROPPED ONTO THE PIN. THE OUTSIDE OF THIS JEEP NOW JUST LOOKS MEAN. THE FIRST STEP IN CUSTOMIZING THE INTERIOR
OF OUR JEEP IS TO REPLACE ALL THE SEATS. THE STOCK ONES ARE GOING OUT AND IN THEIR PLACE ARE GOING TO BE FOUR MASTERCRAFT SAFETY BAJA RS SUSPENSION SEATS. NOW JUST LIKE ALL MASTERCRAFT SUSPENSION SEATS, THE SEATS HAVE A TUBULAR UNDERSTRUCTURE WITH WEBBING DRAPED IN BETWEEN TO ABSORB THE SHOCK WHEN YOU'RE DRIVING THE VEHICLE OFF ROAD. NOW THE RS STANDS FOR RECLINING SEAT, AND THE RECLINE FEATURES JUST ALLOWS YOU TO FINE TUNE THE LOCATION OF THE BACK REST TO KEEP YOU COMFORTABLE ON EITHER LONG HIGHWAY DRIVES OR JUST IN A GOOD SEATED POSITION FOR SOME HARDCORE OFF ROADING. NOW THE MASTERCRAFT SAFETY SEATS ARE A PERFECT FIT FOR OUR JEEP BECAUSE THEY'RE OFTEN FOUND IN MILITARY VEHICLES SERVING OUR COUNTRY ALL OVER THE WORLD. AND KEEPING WITH OUR SINISTER URBAN ASSAULT THEME WE WENT WITH AN ALL BLACK LOOK, BLACK TWEED, AND BLACK VINYL.
WITH THE STOCK SEATS REMOVED, THE MASTERCRAFT
BRACKETS ARE BOLTED INTO THE REAR SEAT MOUNTING HOLES. THEN THE RECLINING SUSPENSION BUCKET SEATS ARE DROPPED ONTO THE BRACKETS. FOR THE FRONT SEATS THE FACTORY SEAT IS TORN DOWN AND THE FACTORY SLIDING MECHANISM IS RETAINED AND MOUNTED ONTO THE MASTERCRAFT SEAT. AND IT BOLTS BACK INTO THE FACTORY LOCATION.

NOW RICHARD AND I HAVE BEEN TOSSING AROUND A FEW DESIGN IDEAS FOR QUITE SOME TIME AND WE THINK WE'VE COME UP
WITH SOMETHING THAT'S PRETTY UNIQUE THAT'LL USE THE EXHAUST PRODUCT THAT HE BROUGHT IN TODAY. AND WHAT DID YOU BRING IN FOR US?
(RICHARD)>> JUST LIKE THE EXHAUST SYSTEMS ON THE CAR, WE'RE USING STAINLESS STEEL.
(IAN)>> AND WHAT IS THIS TUBING NORMALLY USED FOR?
(RICHARD)>> WELL IN PARTICULAR WE'RE USING ONE AND THREEQUARTER INCH TUBE, BUT THIS IS STRAIGHT OUT OF OUR BRAND NEW HEADER LINE.
(IAN)>> AND INSTEAD OF BUILDING HEADERS WE'RE GONNA
BE BUILDING A 100 PERCENT CUSTOM ROOF RACK FOR THE TOP OF THIS TRUCK.
(RICHARD)>> THAT WE ARE.
(IAN)>> AND I THINK IT'S GONNA BE KINDA COOL CAUSE NORMALLY THE EXHAUST GOES UNDER THE CAR, BUT THIS TIME WE'RE GONNA BE PUTTING EXHAUST PIPE ON THE ROOF OF THE TRUCK. THROW SOME MAGNAFLOW LOGOS ON IT, IN THE END WE'LL HAVE A CUSTOM TIE IN FEATURE THAT'LL USE MAGNAFLOW PARTS WHERE THEY'RE NORMALLY NOT USED.
(RICHARD)>> I'M EXCITED, LETS GET STARTED.
(IAN)>> CUT AND GRIND TIME. THE FIRST STEP IS TO MOCK EVERYTHING IN PLACE ON TOP OF THE ROOF. CHOOSE THE LENGTH AND THE WIDTH, AND THEN RICHARD STARTS TIG WELDING ALL THE 90 DEGREE BENDS ONTO THE
STRAIGHT PIECES OF TUBING. EVENTUALLY WE END UP WITH A GREAT BIG RECTANGLE.
THEN WE TEST FIT IT ONTO THE ROOF. TO SEPARATE THE UPPER TUBE FROM THE LOWER RICHARD HAD SOME BOXES LASER CUT OUT OF MILD STEEL.
(RICHARD)>> WITH THE LOWER ROOF RACK IN PLACE, WE'VE GOT TO CREATE THE BOXES THAT SEPARATE THE LOWER PORTION FROM THE UPPER. AND WHAT THE GUYS BACK AT THE SHOP HAVE DONE IS CREATE THESE METAL BOX PLATES FEATURING THE MF LOGO. AND OBVIOUSLY THIS BOX WILL SIT INSTALL OVER THE LOWER RACK, SEPARATING IT FROM THE UPPER RACK, GIVING THAT
VISUAL SEPARATION AND YET ANOTHER PLACE FOR THAT MAGNAFLOW LOGO.
(IAN)>> WE DON'T WANT TO DRILL THROUGH THE FACTORY HARD TOP TO MOUNT THE ROOF RACK. WE DON'T WANT TO CREATE A SPOT THAT IN THE FUTURE A WATER LEAK COULD START AND CAUSE DAMAGE INSIDE THE TRUCK. NOW ON THE BACK WE'RE LUCKY. WE CAN WORK OFF THE FACTORY GLASS HINGES AND CREATE SOME
CUSTOM MOUNTS, BUT UP FRONT THERE'S REALLY
NOTHING TO TIE INTO.
WHAT WE'RE GONNA DO IS TIE INTO OUR FRONT LIGHT BAR MOUNT KIT. NOW WE GOT THIS KIT FROM RIGID INDUSTRIES, AND IT STARTS WITH THIS 50 INCH SINGLE
STACK LED LIGHT BAR.
NOW IT COUPLES WITH THESE BRACKETS THAT RIGID MADE THAT ARE SET UP SPECIFICALLY FOR THE JEEP JK. IT MOUNTS OFF THE FACTORY BOLT HOLES FOR THE WINDSHIELD HINGES AND GIVES US THIS NICE LITTLE BRACKET AT THE TOP THAT WILL CRADLE THE LIGHT BAR. WHAT WE'LL DO IS ADD A COUPLE OF TABS TO THIS TO MOUNT OUR ROOF RACK.
THEN AFTER ANOTHER TEST FIT WE'LL MOVE IT ON OVER TO THE PAINT BOOTH, PREP IT, APPLY A COAT OF DUPLICOLOR SELF ETCHING PRIMER, FOLLOWED BY A WHOLE BUNCH OF FLAT BLACK. ONCE THE PAINT IS DRY, IT'S TIME TO MOUNT THIS ROOF RACK ONE LAST TIME. INDEX IT OFF THE LIGHT BAR UP FRONT, AND THEN ADD A
FILLER PANEL WITH THE MAGNAFLOW LOGO.
(RICHARD)>> THE LOOK OF THE JEEP WAS A VERY IMPORTANT PART OF THIS PARTICULAR PROJECT.
WE WANTED IT TO HAVE A VERY MAGNAFLOW FEEL. OBVIOUSLY WE'RE IN THE TUBE BENDING AND STEEL BUSINESS, SO WE KINDA WANTED TO MAKE SURE THAT IT REFLECTED THAT KIND OF INDUSTRIAL METAL, ALMOST AS I LIKE TO CALL IT, MAYBE AN URBAN ASSAULT VEHICLE KINDA FEEL TO IT. NO BETTER WAY TO ACTUALLY PUT SOME OF OUR TUBING THEN IN THE ROOF RACK.

UP FRONT WE'RE GONNA START WITH THE NEW XS POWER BATTERY. THIS IS GOING TO HOLD ITS CHARGE A LOT LONGER AND
RECHARGE A LOT FASTER THAN THE STOCK BATTERY. WE'RE GONNA REPLACE THE HEAD UNIT WITH THIS KENWOOD EXCELON PIECE, DVD, NAV, YOU'RE NOT GONNA GET LOST. WE'RE ALSO GONNA ADD A BACK UP CAMERA. WE'RE GONNA UPGRADE THE FACTORY WIRES IN THE TRUCK
WITH ALL STREET WIRES WIRING. WE'RE GONNA GO TO A HEAVIER GAUGE, HELP WITH ANY CURRENT CONSUMPTION, ANY GROUNDING ISSUES WE MAY HAVE. WE'RE GONNA ADD THREE AMPLIFIERS.
ONE FOUR CHANNEL FOR ALL THE SPEAKERS IN THE JEEP, ONE MONO BLOCK FOR THE TWO SUBWOOFERS WE'RE GONNA
INSTALL, AND THEN ONE FOUR CHANNEL FOR THE EXTERIOR SPEAKERS. AND THESE YOU CAN SEE, I BROUGHT SOME OF THE SPEAKERS THAT WE'RE GONNA BE USING IN THE INSTALL.
(IAN)>> SO THIS WILL REPLACE ALL THE FACTORY JEEP AUDIO
AND GIVE US MORE, BETTER SOUND, MORE SOUND, LOUDER.

THE REAR DOOR IS CUT FOR THE DRIVE TO FIT. THE FRONT DOORS WILL ALSO GET CUSTOM ENCLOSURES. TOMMY GLUES THE VINYL ONTO THE PANEL THAT WILL TAKE THE PLACE OF THE LOWER DOOR POCKET.
(TOMMY)>> I WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT WHEN I'M PULLING
THIS VINYL AROUND THERE THAT I CAN GET ALL THE WRINKLES, AND BUBBLES, AND STUFF OUT OF THE OTHER SIDE.
SO THAT WAY EVERYTHING'S NICE, AND TIGHT, AND CLEAN, SO IT LOOKS LIKE A FACTORY WRAP WHEN I'M ALL FINISHED.
NEXT I'M GOING TO WRAP THIS PANEL THAT WE CUT OUT TO MATCH OUR AIR SOFT GUN THAT WE'RE GONNA PERMANENTLY ATTACH IN THE DOOR PANEL TO GO WITH OUR ZOMBIE THEME.
(IAN)>> THE HEAD UNIT WILL REPLACE THE FACTORY RADIO AND GIVE US TONS OF OPTIONS THAT WE NEVER HAD BEFORE. NAVIGATION, BLUE TOOTH, HANDS FREE CALLING, AND OF COURSE THE DELIVERY OF LOUD MUSIC. AFTER BUILDING A CUSTOM RACK TO MOUNT THE AMPS, IT'S WELDED IT ONTO THE ROLL CAGE TO FLOAT RIGHT BEHIND THE REAR PASSENGER SEATS. NEXT WE'LL WELD IN ANGLE BRACKETS TO SECURE OUR
SUBWOOFERS, AND THE SPEAKER BOXES ARE SPRAYED WITH SOME WRINKLE BLACK PAINT TO GIVE THEM A TOUGH LOOK. I DON'T KNOW IF YOU KNOW MUCH ABOUT THESE MTX SUBWOOFERS, BUT THEY PUT OUT SO MUCH POWER IT COULD
LOOSEN THE NUT.
TO REALLY DRIVE HOME OUR ZOMBIE HUNTING THEME, THE HEADS OF ALL THE BOLTS ARE COVERED WITH SOME SPENT SHELL CASINGS.
NOW ONCE EVERYTHING IS INSTALLED INTO THE TRUCK YOU CAN SEE THAT WE HAVE NAILED THIS ZOMBIE HUNTING THEME.
WHILE I CHECK THE IMAGE QUALITY ON OUR BACK UP CAMERA, JASON TUNES THE AMPS AND THE REST OF THE SYSTEM UNTIL WE'VE GOT KILLER AUDIO ALL THE WAY AROUND.
SINCE THIS TRUCK IS GOING TO SEE A LOT OF TRADE SHOW DUTY, WE'RE INSTALLING SOME MTX MARINE GRADE SPEAKERS INTO SOME CRAWL TUNED EXTERNAL SPEAKER PODS THAT WE'LL MOUNT ONTO THE ROOF RACK SO THE MUSIC CAN BE HEARD EASILY AT OUTDOOR EVENTS.

(IAN)>> WHEN YOU MAKE AS MANY CHANGES TO A JEEP JK AS WE HAVE WITH OURS, YOU HAVE TO ADDRESS THE ON BOARD COMPUTER. FOR OUR RIG WE'RE USING A DIABLO SPORT HAND HELD TRINITY TUNER. THAT WAY WE CAN ADJUST THE PARAMETERS FOR THE GEAR RATIO AND OUR NEW TIRE SIZE, AS WELL AS ADD A LITTLE BIT MORE POWER UNDERNEATH THE HOOD.
ON THE ROAD OUR JEEP HANDLED GREAT THANKS TO THE SMALL AMOUNT OF LIFT THAT WE ADDED AND UPGRADING THE GEAR RATIO. QUITE OFTEN YOU FEEL LIKE YOU'RE STILL DRIVING AROUND TOWN IN A FACTORY SETUP. BUT ONE LOOK AT THE OUTSIDE OF THIS RIG AND YOU KNOW THAT THIS IS NOTHING LIKE THE JK THAT WE PULLED INTO THE SHOP. NOW THERE'S NO QUESTION THAT WE'VE CERTAINLY CHANGED THE LOOK OF OUR JEEP JK. IT DOESN'T LOOK ANYTHING LIKE THE STOCK TRUCK THAT ROLLED INTO OUR SHOP. SO SINCE WE'VE GOT THE SHOW CAR THING FIGURED OUT ON THIS TRUCK, THE NEXT QUESTION IS HOW DO WE DECIDE IF WE'VE ACTUALLY TURNED THIS RIG INTO A TRUE URBAN ASSAULT ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE/HUNTER VEHICLE? WELL BELIEVE IT OR NOT WE'VE GOT A PRETTY COOL PLAN. JUST DOWN THE ROAD FROM THE XTREME SHOP IS A PLACE CALLED MILLER'S THRILLERS, AND EVERY OCTOBER THEY HAVE A HAUNTED WOODS THAT THEY FILL WITH SCARY STUFF. AND PEOPLE COME AND PAY GOOD MONEY TO GET SCARED
OUT OF THEIR WITS. PART OF THAT, THEY HAVE A ZOMBIE PAINT BALL HAY RIDE. SO WE ASKED THE GUYS AT MILLERS, IF WE BROUGHT OUR JEEP AND SOME PAINT BALL GUNS, WOULD YOU RELEASE SOME OF YOUR ZOMBIES AND LET US SHOOT THEM? AND THEY SAID YES! WE ARRIVED AT THE FIELD AND ZOMBIES WERE EVERYWHERE, ABOUT TO ATTACK TWO OF OUR FRIENDS, BRETT AND SEBASTIAN. WE KNEW THAT WE HAD SOMETHING TO TAKE CARE OF THEM.

THE LAST AREA WE NEEDED TO CHECK WAS A SMALL CABIN ON THE EDGE OF THE WOODS. WE KNEW THERE WERE ZOMBIES INSIDE, SO WE PULLED UP AND LET PAINT FLY!

(IAN)>> TODAY ON XTREME WE'RE BACK WORKING ON OUR 2013 JK THAT WE'RE PUTTING TOGETHER AS A PROMOTIONAL VEHICLE FOR MAGNAFLOW. NOW IF YOU GUYS REMEMBER, THIS IS GOING TO BE A THEME BUILT RIG. WE'VE ALREADY TAKEN CARE OF EVERYTHING NEEDED TO TURN THIS JEEP INTO A HARDCORE OFF ROADER. AXLES, TIRES, WHEELS, LIFT, AND ARMOR ALL THE WAY AROUND. NOW TODAY IS THE FUN DAY. THIS IS THE DAY WHERE WE TAKE THE TURN AND WE START FOCUSING ON THE OVERALL LOOK OF THE VEHICLE AND HOW IT'S GOING TO TIE EVERYTHING ALL TOGETHER. OBVIOUSLY THE FIRST THING THAT YOU PROBABLY NOTICED THAT'S DIFFERENT IS THIS JEEP'S NO LONGER WHITE, AND THAT'S BECAUSE IT'S BEEN WRAPPED. THIS FLAT SILVER FULL VEHICLE WRAP TOOK JUST OVER A DAY TO APPLY. AND IT NOT ONLY GIVES MAGNAFLOW A PLACE TO PUT SOME LOGOS TO PROMOTE THE NEW MF GEAR CLOTHING LINE, IT ALSO COMPLETELY CHANGES THE LOOK OF THE JEEP. THE MACHINED SURFACE OF THE WRAP HELPS TO GIVE THE TRUCK A DARKER, MORE SINISTER LOOK. AND IT REALLY DRIVES HOME OUR URBAN ASSAULT ZOMBIE ATTACK THEME. BELIEVE IT OR NOT IT'S A DIRECT COLOR MATCH TO THE RAW FINISH AVAILABLE ON SOME MAGNAFLOW MUFFLERS. NOW THERE ARE A LOT OF DIFFERENT BUMPER COMBINATIONS AVAILABLE FOR THE JEEP JK. BUT WHEN WE SAW THE NEWLY DESIGNED FRONT BUMPER FROM FAB FOURS, WE KNEW IT WAS PERFECT FOR THIS RIG.
NOW LIKE ALL THEIR BUMPERS, IT'S CNC CUT AND BENT AT A THREESIXTEENTHS AND QUARTER INCH PLATE FOR STRENGTH. BUT WHAT REALLY SOLD US ON THIS BUMPER WAS THE OVERALL DESIGN. IT'S A NARROWED SQUARED OFF BUMPER THAT'LL WORK GREAT
WITH OUR FLAT PLATE FENDERS. AND THIS INTEGRATED WINCH MOUNT GRILL PROTECTOR REALLY GIVES THE FRONT OF OUR JEEP AN AGGRESSIVE LOOK AND PROVISIONS TO MOUNT OUR RIGID FOUR PACK LED LIGHTS. NOW BELIEVE IT OR NOT THIS ENTIRE BUMPER WAS DESIGNED AROUND THE NEW WARN ZEON SERIES OF WINCHES. NOW THIS IS A 10,000 SSERIES, AND YOU CAN SEE THAT THE DESIGN HAS COMPLETELY CHANGED.
IT'S A LARGER HOUSING AND INTEGRATES A COMPLETELY REDESIGNED PLANETARY GEAR SET THAT RUNS QUIETER AND FASTER THAN THE PREVIOUS WINCHES. NOW THIS FLAT BLACK POWDER COAT FINISH WILL JUST HELP TIE IN WITH THE BUMPER ON THIS TRUCK. AND WHEN THE ENTIRE PACKAGE IS ON THE FRONT OF THE JK, THIS TRUCK WILL LOOK LIKE IT'S READY TO CHASE
DOWN THE ZOMBIE HOARD. THE WARN WINCH MOUNTS ONTO THE MOUNTING PLATE THAT'S INTEGRATED INTO THE BUMPER. THEN THE STOCK BUMPER MOUNTING HOLES ON THE FRONT OF THE JEEP NEED TO BE ENLARGED SLIGHTLY, AND THE BUMPER MOUNTS TO THE FRONT OF THE FRAME.
ONCE HOOKED UP TO THE BATTERY, A SYNTHETIC WINCH LINE IS SPUN ONTO THE DRUM AND THE HOOK IS INSTALLED. OUT BACK, THE REAR BUMPER USES THE SAME FACTORY MOUNTS JUST LIKE THE FRONT. ONCE IT'S BOLTED UP TO THE FRAME, THE NEW FULL SIZE SWING OUT TIRE CARRIER IS DROPPED ONTO THE PIN. THE OUTSIDE OF THIS JEEP NOW JUST LOOKS MEAN. THE FIRST STEP IN CUSTOMIZING THE INTERIOR
OF OUR JEEP IS TO REPLACE ALL THE SEATS. THE STOCK ONES ARE GOING OUT AND IN THEIR PLACE ARE GOING TO BE FOUR MASTERCRAFT SAFETY BAJA RS SUSPENSION SEATS. NOW JUST LIKE ALL MASTERCRAFT SUSPENSION SEATS, THE SEATS HAVE A TUBULAR UNDERSTRUCTURE WITH WEBBING DRAPED IN BETWEEN TO ABSORB THE SHOCK WHEN YOU'RE DRIVING THE VEHICLE OFF ROAD. NOW THE RS STANDS FOR RECLINING SEAT, AND THE RECLINE FEATURES JUST ALLOWS YOU TO FINE TUNE THE LOCATION OF THE BACK REST TO KEEP YOU COMFORTABLE ON EITHER LONG HIGHWAY DRIVES OR JUST IN A GOOD SEATED POSITION FOR SOME HARDCORE OFF ROADING. NOW THE MASTERCRAFT SAFETY SEATS ARE A PERFECT FIT FOR OUR JEEP BECAUSE THEY'RE OFTEN FOUND IN MILITARY VEHICLES SERVING OUR COUNTRY ALL OVER THE WORLD. AND KEEPING WITH OUR SINISTER URBAN ASSAULT THEME WE WENT WITH AN ALL BLACK LOOK, BLACK TWEED, AND BLACK VINYL.
WITH THE STOCK SEATS REMOVED, THE MASTERCRAFT
BRACKETS ARE BOLTED INTO THE REAR SEAT MOUNTING HOLES. THEN THE RECLINING SUSPENSION BUCKET SEATS ARE DROPPED ONTO THE BRACKETS. FOR THE FRONT SEATS THE FACTORY SEAT IS TORN DOWN AND THE FACTORY SLIDING MECHANISM IS RETAINED AND MOUNTED ONTO THE MASTERCRAFT SEAT. AND IT BOLTS BACK INTO THE FACTORY LOCATION.

WITH SOMETHING THAT'S PRETTY UNIQUE THAT'LL USE THE EXHAUST PRODUCT THAT HE BROUGHT IN TODAY. AND WHAT DID YOU BRING IN FOR US?

(RICHARD)>> WELL IN PARTICULAR WE'RE USING ONE AND THREEQUARTER INCH TUBE, BUT THIS IS STRAIGHT OUT OF OUR BRAND NEW HEADER LINE.

BE BUILDING A 100 PERCENT CUSTOM ROOF RACK FOR THE TOP OF THIS TRUCK.

(IAN)>> AND I THINK IT'S GONNA BE KINDA COOL CAUSE NORMALLY THE EXHAUST GOES UNDER THE CAR, BUT THIS TIME WE'RE GONNA BE PUTTING EXHAUST PIPE ON THE ROOF OF THE TRUCK. THROW SOME MAGNAFLOW LOGOS ON IT, IN THE END WE'LL HAVE A CUSTOM TIE IN FEATURE THAT'LL USE MAGNAFLOW PARTS WHERE THEY'RE NORMALLY NOT USED.

(IAN)>> CUT AND GRIND TIME. THE FIRST STEP IS TO MOCK EVERYTHING IN PLACE ON TOP OF THE ROOF. CHOOSE THE LENGTH AND THE WIDTH, AND THEN RICHARD STARTS TIG WELDING ALL THE 90 DEGREE BENDS ONTO THE
STRAIGHT PIECES OF TUBING. EVENTUALLY WE END UP WITH A GREAT BIG RECTANGLE.
THEN WE TEST FIT IT ONTO THE ROOF. TO SEPARATE THE UPPER TUBE FROM THE LOWER RICHARD HAD SOME BOXES LASER CUT OUT OF MILD STEEL.
(RICHARD)>> WITH THE LOWER ROOF RACK IN PLACE, WE'VE GOT TO CREATE THE BOXES THAT SEPARATE THE LOWER PORTION FROM THE UPPER. AND WHAT THE GUYS BACK AT THE SHOP HAVE DONE IS CREATE THESE METAL BOX PLATES FEATURING THE MF LOGO. AND OBVIOUSLY THIS BOX WILL SIT INSTALL OVER THE LOWER RACK, SEPARATING IT FROM THE UPPER RACK, GIVING THAT
VISUAL SEPARATION AND YET ANOTHER PLACE FOR THAT MAGNAFLOW LOGO.
(IAN)>> WE DON'T WANT TO DRILL THROUGH THE FACTORY HARD TOP TO MOUNT THE ROOF RACK. WE DON'T WANT TO CREATE A SPOT THAT IN THE FUTURE A WATER LEAK COULD START AND CAUSE DAMAGE INSIDE THE TRUCK. NOW ON THE BACK WE'RE LUCKY. WE CAN WORK OFF THE FACTORY GLASS HINGES AND CREATE SOME
CUSTOM MOUNTS, BUT UP FRONT THERE'S REALLY
NOTHING TO TIE INTO.
WHAT WE'RE GONNA DO IS TIE INTO OUR FRONT LIGHT BAR MOUNT KIT. NOW WE GOT THIS KIT FROM RIGID INDUSTRIES, AND IT STARTS WITH THIS 50 INCH SINGLE
STACK LED LIGHT BAR.
NOW IT COUPLES WITH THESE BRACKETS THAT RIGID MADE THAT ARE SET UP SPECIFICALLY FOR THE JEEP JK. IT MOUNTS OFF THE FACTORY BOLT HOLES FOR THE WINDSHIELD HINGES AND GIVES US THIS NICE LITTLE BRACKET AT THE TOP THAT WILL CRADLE THE LIGHT BAR. WHAT WE'LL DO IS ADD A COUPLE OF TABS TO THIS TO MOUNT OUR ROOF RACK.
THEN AFTER ANOTHER TEST FIT WE'LL MOVE IT ON OVER TO THE PAINT BOOTH, PREP IT, APPLY A COAT OF DUPLICOLOR SELF ETCHING PRIMER, FOLLOWED BY A WHOLE BUNCH OF FLAT BLACK. ONCE THE PAINT IS DRY, IT'S TIME TO MOUNT THIS ROOF RACK ONE LAST TIME. INDEX IT OFF THE LIGHT BAR UP FRONT, AND THEN ADD A
FILLER PANEL WITH THE MAGNAFLOW LOGO.
(RICHARD)>> THE LOOK OF THE JEEP WAS A VERY IMPORTANT PART OF THIS PARTICULAR PROJECT.
WE WANTED IT TO HAVE A VERY MAGNAFLOW FEEL. OBVIOUSLY WE'RE IN THE TUBE BENDING AND STEEL BUSINESS, SO WE KINDA WANTED TO MAKE SURE THAT IT REFLECTED THAT KIND OF INDUSTRIAL METAL, ALMOST AS I LIKE TO CALL IT, MAYBE AN URBAN ASSAULT VEHICLE KINDA FEEL TO IT. NO BETTER WAY TO ACTUALLY PUT SOME OF OUR TUBING THEN IN THE ROOF RACK.

UP FRONT WE'RE GONNA START WITH THE NEW XS POWER BATTERY. THIS IS GOING TO HOLD ITS CHARGE A LOT LONGER AND
RECHARGE A LOT FASTER THAN THE STOCK BATTERY. WE'RE GONNA REPLACE THE HEAD UNIT WITH THIS KENWOOD EXCELON PIECE, DVD, NAV, YOU'RE NOT GONNA GET LOST. WE'RE ALSO GONNA ADD A BACK UP CAMERA. WE'RE GONNA UPGRADE THE FACTORY WIRES IN THE TRUCK
WITH ALL STREET WIRES WIRING. WE'RE GONNA GO TO A HEAVIER GAUGE, HELP WITH ANY CURRENT CONSUMPTION, ANY GROUNDING ISSUES WE MAY HAVE. WE'RE GONNA ADD THREE AMPLIFIERS.
ONE FOUR CHANNEL FOR ALL THE SPEAKERS IN THE JEEP, ONE MONO BLOCK FOR THE TWO SUBWOOFERS WE'RE GONNA
INSTALL, AND THEN ONE FOUR CHANNEL FOR THE EXTERIOR SPEAKERS. AND THESE YOU CAN SEE, I BROUGHT SOME OF THE SPEAKERS THAT WE'RE GONNA BE USING IN THE INSTALL.

AND GIVE US MORE, BETTER SOUND, MORE SOUND, LOUDER.

THIS VINYL AROUND THERE THAT I CAN GET ALL THE WRINKLES, AND BUBBLES, AND STUFF OUT OF THE OTHER SIDE.
SO THAT WAY EVERYTHING'S NICE, AND TIGHT, AND CLEAN, SO IT LOOKS LIKE A FACTORY WRAP WHEN I'M ALL FINISHED.
NEXT I'M GOING TO WRAP THIS PANEL THAT WE CUT OUT TO MATCH OUR AIR SOFT GUN THAT WE'RE GONNA PERMANENTLY ATTACH IN THE DOOR PANEL TO GO WITH OUR ZOMBIE THEME.
(IAN)>> THE HEAD UNIT WILL REPLACE THE FACTORY RADIO AND GIVE US TONS OF OPTIONS THAT WE NEVER HAD BEFORE. NAVIGATION, BLUE TOOTH, HANDS FREE CALLING, AND OF COURSE THE DELIVERY OF LOUD MUSIC. AFTER BUILDING A CUSTOM RACK TO MOUNT THE AMPS, IT'S WELDED IT ONTO THE ROLL CAGE TO FLOAT RIGHT BEHIND THE REAR PASSENGER SEATS. NEXT WE'LL WELD IN ANGLE BRACKETS TO SECURE OUR
SUBWOOFERS, AND THE SPEAKER BOXES ARE SPRAYED WITH SOME WRINKLE BLACK PAINT TO GIVE THEM A TOUGH LOOK. I DON'T KNOW IF YOU KNOW MUCH ABOUT THESE MTX SUBWOOFERS, BUT THEY PUT OUT SO MUCH POWER IT COULD
LOOSEN THE NUT.
TO REALLY DRIVE HOME OUR ZOMBIE HUNTING THEME, THE HEADS OF ALL THE BOLTS ARE COVERED WITH SOME SPENT SHELL CASINGS.
NOW ONCE EVERYTHING IS INSTALLED INTO THE TRUCK YOU CAN SEE THAT WE HAVE NAILED THIS ZOMBIE HUNTING THEME.
WHILE I CHECK THE IMAGE QUALITY ON OUR BACK UP CAMERA, JASON TUNES THE AMPS AND THE REST OF THE SYSTEM UNTIL WE'VE GOT KILLER AUDIO ALL THE WAY AROUND.
SINCE THIS TRUCK IS GOING TO SEE A LOT OF TRADE SHOW DUTY, WE'RE INSTALLING SOME MTX MARINE GRADE SPEAKERS INTO SOME CRAWL TUNED EXTERNAL SPEAKER PODS THAT WE'LL MOUNT ONTO THE ROOF RACK SO THE MUSIC CAN BE HEARD EASILY AT OUTDOOR EVENTS.

THAT WAY WE CAN ADJUST THE PARAMETERS FOR THE GEAR RATIO AND OUR NEW TIRE SIZE, AS WELL AS ADD A LITTLE BIT MORE POWER UNDERNEATH THE HOOD.
ON THE ROAD OUR JEEP HANDLED GREAT THANKS TO THE SMALL AMOUNT OF LIFT THAT WE ADDED AND UPGRADING THE GEAR RATIO. QUITE OFTEN YOU FEEL LIKE YOU'RE STILL DRIVING AROUND TOWN IN A FACTORY SETUP. BUT ONE LOOK AT THE OUTSIDE OF THIS RIG AND YOU KNOW THAT THIS IS NOTHING LIKE THE JK THAT WE PULLED INTO THE SHOP. NOW THERE'S NO QUESTION THAT WE'VE CERTAINLY CHANGED THE LOOK OF OUR JEEP JK. IT DOESN'T LOOK ANYTHING LIKE THE STOCK TRUCK THAT ROLLED INTO OUR SHOP. SO SINCE WE'VE GOT THE SHOW CAR THING FIGURED OUT ON THIS TRUCK, THE NEXT QUESTION IS HOW DO WE DECIDE IF WE'VE ACTUALLY TURNED THIS RIG INTO A TRUE URBAN ASSAULT ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE/HUNTER VEHICLE? WELL BELIEVE IT OR NOT WE'VE GOT A PRETTY COOL PLAN. JUST DOWN THE ROAD FROM THE XTREME SHOP IS A PLACE CALLED MILLER'S THRILLERS, AND EVERY OCTOBER THEY HAVE A HAUNTED WOODS THAT THEY FILL WITH SCARY STUFF. AND PEOPLE COME AND PAY GOOD MONEY TO GET SCARED
OUT OF THEIR WITS. PART OF THAT, THEY HAVE A ZOMBIE PAINT BALL HAY RIDE. SO WE ASKED THE GUYS AT MILLERS, IF WE BROUGHT OUR JEEP AND SOME PAINT BALL GUNS, WOULD YOU RELEASE SOME OF YOUR ZOMBIES AND LET US SHOOT THEM? AND THEY SAID YES! WE ARRIVED AT THE FIELD AND ZOMBIES WERE EVERYWHERE, ABOUT TO ATTACK TWO OF OUR FRIENDS, BRETT AND SEBASTIAN. WE KNEW THAT WE HAD SOMETHING TO TAKE CARE OF THEM.
