In an attempt to branch out and try something new, Carcass set their sights on building a rally car. They sought out something inexpensive and fun, with readily available aftermarket parts. What better than a 1996 Honda Civic? Not only did it catch their attention, but it checked off all of the boxes on their wishlist, leading to an unforgettable build.
For this one, they went all out, upgrading everything from the interior to the suspension and the engine to an incredibly unique paint job using a mobile portable paint booth from Mobile Environmental Solutions.
In order to establish true rally car status, Carcass added a roll cage, racing seats that make you feel like you’re one with the car, a race steering wheel, boosted the engine with a bolt-on turbo tuned by Jason Waters, doubling the power output, fab’d up the front and rear strut tower braces, and added K-Sport Rally Spec coilovers.
They also refreshed the suspension components with parts from Duralast, added a set of wheels from Custom Wheel Outlet, and rally tires from Tire Streets.
The finished product exemplifies the capabilities of the Honda Civic and what you can achieve on a small budget, turning it into a machine worthy of the Carcass badge of honor.
