It’s cool to go fast, but it’s even cooler to look good in the process. Whether you’re a fan of Dodge, Chevy, or Ford, there’s one thing we can come together and agree upon – the Hellraiser from SpeedKore checks off all the boxes car guys & gals seek when building or buying a car. It’s fast, sleek, classic, and it raises hell, literally.

SpeedKore has produced some incredible vehicles over the years, but we’ve been marveling at the piece of art they’ve built with the Hellraiser. We’re not the only ones. Comedian, Kevin Hart, is the lucky man who will be piloting this beast. We expect him to conduct seance’s and summon demons while navigating through LA traffic in the blacked-out 1000-horsepower nightmare turned into a reality. Hopefully, it’ll put a spell on the 101 & 405 merging point and clear out traffic.

The Charger is outfitted with the ridiculous 7.0L 1000-horsepower Hellephant 426 Hemi Crate Engine that produces an eye-popping 950-pound-feet of torque produced at the crank. The power is channeled to the rear axle by a ZF eight-speed automatic transmission and a Gear Effects 9-inch Ford rear-end. SpeedKore has crafted a custom exhaust with headers that pairs with the MaganaFlow mufflers.

As you’d expect from previous SpeedKore creations, the Hellraiser is fitted with a lightweight carbon fiber body. Creating the body started with a blue-light scan of the original 1970 Dodge Charger before a five-axis CNC machine develops an exact mold with plugs. SpeedKore follows this up by using aerospace-grade carbon fiber to create the body panels. The carbon will then get topped off with many layers of gloss clear coat.

Underneath the body is a SpeedKore-designed frame and 14-point roll cage. The Hellraiser’s front suspension architecture is from the C6 Corvette and uses aftermarket parts from Woodward and Detroit Speed. It’s also fitted with aftermarket front and rear sway bars, Penske double-adjustable shocks, and six-piston front and four-piston rear Brembo brake calipers. The HRE 3-piece wheels are wrapped with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires.

SpeedKore president Jim Kacmarcik released a statement highlighting the team’s excitement to unveil its first Hellephant-powered car.

“The Hellephant is the most powerful crate engine ever offered by an OE manufacturer, so it seemed only natural that one would come to power a SpeedKore build. When we found out that we’d be receiving one of the engines from Mopar, we already discussed a new build, and it was the perfect opportunity to get started. Hellraiser represents the pinnacle of SpeedKore design and engineering, and we’re excited to share this custom build with the world.”

Whatever your preference is for brands, the Hellrasier has certainly lived up to its name. In an age where so many car brands and builders are transitioning to smaller forced-induction motors, having the opportunity to bring a classic car and mate it with a modern V8 is special to witness.
