(ANNOUNCER)>> TODAY WE'RE
DOING THE EASY AND FREE GRAY WIRE MOD ON OUR 2000 TOYOTA
TACOMA FOR BETTER TRACTION. THEN IT'S MORE OFF ROAD
PROTECTION IN THE FORM OF A SET OF HEAVY DUTY ROCK RAILS. AND FINALLY WE'RE UPPING
THE POWER TO ABOUT 300 HORSES BY INSTALLING A
BOLT ON TURBO KIT. IT'S ALL TODAY HERE ON TRUCKS.
(RYAN)>> HEY GUYS, WELCOME TO TRUCKS. WELL I HOPE YOU REMEMBER OUR 2000 TOYOTA TACOMA THAT WE'VE HAD ON THE SHOW ONCE BEFORE. NOW WE PLAN ON KEEPING THIS TRUCK FOR QUITE SOME TIME CAUSE WE'VE GOT SOME PRETTY BIG LONG TERM PLANS FOR THIS THING, DESPITE IT BEING A PRETTY TOUGH TRUCK IN STOCK CONDITION. BUT WHILE IT WAS STILL STOCK, WE WANTED TO TAKE IT OUT TO THE TRAILS AND SEE WHAT IT COULD DO.
FOR A MOSTLY STOCK TRUCK, THIS THING IS ONE TOUGH LITTLE PICK UP. IT DID GREAT OUT ON THE TRAILS AND FLYING THROUGH THE AIR, WITH A NICE CUSHIONED LANDING I MIGHT ADD. IT EVEN DID OKAY ON THE ROCKIER TRAILS, MOSTLY DUE TO THE ELECTRONIC LOCKING REAR DIFFERENTIAL. BUT SOME OF THE OBSTACLES TOOK A LITTLE EXTRA WHEEL SPEED. SOMETIMES THAT GOT US IN TROUBLE. NOW DURING OUR INITIAL TEST DRIVE, WE HAD BIG FUN BUT IT LEFT US WANTING FOR A FEW THINGS, MAINLY MORE POWER. NOW THIS TOYOTA IS GEARED NICE AND LOW, AND IT'S PERFECT FOR CRAWLING AROUND THE TRAILS AT NICE SLOW SPEEDS, BUT THERE WAS A COUPLE OF OCCASIONS WHERE WE WANTED MORE POWER BOTH OUT ON THE HIGHWAY AND JUST DURING GENERAL TRAIL CRUISING. SECOND, WE WANTED TO SWAP THESE STEPS OUT FOR SOME ROCKER SKIDS THAT WILL DOUBLE AS STEPS. AND THAT'LL MAKE SURE THAT THESE DOORS WILL ALWAYS OPEN AND CLOSE. NOW THE LAST THING WE WANTED TO DO IS DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS ELECTRONIC LOCKING DIFFERENTIAL THAT YOU CAN ONLY ENGAGE IN FOUR WHEEL DRIVE LOW RANGE FROM THE FACTORY. THERE'S A SIMPLE MODIFICATION TO ALLOW US TO ENGAGE IT IN TWO WHEEL DRIVE, AND IT'S A GOOD FREE UPGRADE AND WHAT WE'RE GONNA GET STARTED WITH. AFTER REMOVING THE LOWER KICK PANEL AND PEELING THE CARPET BACK, YOU CAN GAIN ACCESS TO THE FOUR WHEEL DRIVE CONTROL COMPUTER. AFTER REMOVING THE PROTECTIVE WRAP FROM THE HARNESS, FIND THE GREEN WIRE WITH THE YELLOW TRACER AND IGNORE IT. YOU'RE AFTER THE GRAY WIRE. NOW THIS IS JUST A SIMPLE GROUND CIRCUIT AND IT'S ON THE INSIDE OF THE CAB, BUT WE'RE GONNA USE A HEAT SHRINK EQUIPPED BUTT CONNECTOR ANYWAY. THE ADHESIVE IN THE HEAT SHRINK WILL HELP HOLD THE CONNECTOR TOGETHER AND REDUCE THE LIKELIHOOD OF IT VIBRATING APART BOUNCING DOWN THE TRAIL, MAKING THIS A PERMANENT INSTALL. FOR A GROUND LOCATION WE SIMPLE USE THE KICK PANEL RETAINING CLIP. NOW ESSENTIALLY WHAT THIS PROCEDURE DOES IS TRICK THE FOUR WHEEL DRIVE COMPUTER INTO THINKING THAT WE'RE IN FOUR WHEEL DRIVE LOW RANGE THE ENTIRE TIME, EVEN WHEN WE'RE JUST CRUISING DOWN THE ROAD IN TWO WHEEL DRIVE. THIS WILL ALLOW US TO CHOOSE WHEN WE WANT TO USE THE REAR LOCKER INSTEAD OF ASKING THE COMPUTER FOR PERMISSION.
NOW TO VERIFY THAT THIS SIMPLE AND FREE MODIFICATION IS WORKING RIGHT, WE'VE GOT A COUPLE OF OPTIONS. YOU CAN JUST TAKE YOUR TRUCK OUT IN THE DIRT SOMEWHERE AND TRY IT OUT OR YOU CAN DO LIKE WE'VE DONE AND JACK UP THE REAR AXLE SO WE CAN PUT THE TRUCK IN GEAR AND LET THE CLUTCH OUT. SIMPLY START THE ENGINE, HIT THE DIFF LOCK BUTTON, IT STARTS FLASHING, PUT IT IN GEAR, AND IF THE DIFF LOCK LIGHT STOPS FLASHING AND IS ON STEADY, WE KNOW WE'VE GOT BOTH TIRES LOCKED TOGETHER AND SPINNING AT THE SAME SPEED NO MATTER WHAT. AND THAT'S WHETHER WE'RE IN FOUR LOW, FOUR HIGH, OR EVEN TWO WHEEL DRIVE. JUST DON'T BE TOO TEMPTED TO TRY OUT YOUR NEW FOUND TRACTION OUT ON THE STREET. IT'LL CAUSE UNNECESSARY TIRE WEAR, UNNEEDED DRIVE TRAIN STRESS, AND WEIRD HANDLING CHARACTERISTICS. SO SAVE THE EXTRA TRACTION FOR OFF ROAD.
(KEVIN)>> WE'VE BEEN MAKING FUN OF THESE LIGHT WEIGHT TUBE STEPS SINCE WE GOT THIS TRUCK, BUT THE TRUTH IS THEY DID OKAY OUT AT WOLLY'S WHEN WE TOOK THIS TRUCK, PUT IT THROUGH ITS PACES. BUT THEY'RE NOT ROCKER SKIDS, AND THEY'RE NOT INTENDED TO PROTECT THE BODY. SOONER OR LATER THEY'RE GONNA CAUSE BODY DAMAGE RATHER THAN DEFLECT ANY OBSTACLES. SO WE WANTED TO STEP UP OUR GAME WITH SOMETHING THAT FUNCTIONS WELL AND LOOKS COOL, CHECK THESE OUT. THESE ARE ROCK SLIDERS FROM A COMPANY CALLED TRAIL GEAR. NOW THESE ARE MADE FOR OUR EXTENDED CAB TACOMA, BUT THEY ALSO HAVE THE OPTION FOR A REGULAR CAB. THEY'RE HEAVY DUTY ONE AND THREE QUARTER INCH .120 WALL DOM CONSTRUCTION. IT MOUNTS LITERALLY TO THE FRAME INSTEAD OF TO THE BODY MOUNTS LIKE THOSE TUBE STEPS. NOW THEY ALSO GIVE YOU THE OPTION OF BOLTING ON TO THE FRAME. HOWEVER, WE'RE GONNA DO A PERIMETER WELD AND MAKE THESE A LITTLE MORE PERMANENT.
SO AS WE SAY GOODBYE TO THE SOMEWHAT FUNCTIONAL STAINLESS STEEL STEPS, WE'LL MAP OUT THE REAL ESTATE FOR THE NEW ROCK SLIDERS. NOW BOLTING THEM IN DOES MAKE THEM REMOVABLE, HOWEVER, UNLESS YOU ADD A CRUSH SLEEVE TO THE INTERNAL PART OF THE FRAME RAIL, YOU RUN THE RISK OF COLLAPSING THE RAIL WHEN YOU'RE TIGHTENING THEM DOWN. THIS WAY IS SIMPLER, FASTER, AND A LITTLE MORE PERMANENT.
(RYAN)>> NOW WITH EVERYTHING WELDED UP, IT'S TIME TO DO WHAT I DO AFTER INSTALLING ANY SET OF ROCK SLIDERS. THAT'S GIVE IT THE OLD BOUNCE TEST. WHILE THIS MEANS ALMOST NOTHING AND DOESN'T SIMULATE ANYTHING IN THE OFF ROAD WORLD, IT DOES MAKE ME FEEL BETTER, LIKE THEY'RE ON THERE GOOD AND SOLID. NOW THESE TRAIL GEAR ROCK SLIDERS ARE GONNA MAKE SURE THAT THE DOOR ALWAYS OPENS AND CLOSES, AND THAT THE BOTTOM HALF OF THE SHEET METAL DOESN'T GET ALL DENTED UP. PLUS WE DIDN'T LOSE ANY FUNCTIONALITY BY DITCHING THE OLD STEPS, CAUSE THESE DOUBLE AS STEPS, AND WELL, THAT'S A WINWIN.
(KEVIN)>> NOW ONE LAST THING WE'RE GONNA DO TO THIS PROJECT BEFORE WE CALL IT DONE IS THROW ON SOME DUPLICOLOR ACRYLIC ENAMEL SEMI GLOSS BLACK PAINT BECAUSE IT'S GONNA BLEND RIGHT IN TO THE POWDER AND KEEP THOSE WELDS FROM CORRODING.
(RYAN)>> HEY GUYS, WELCOME BACK TO TRUCKS. NOW DURING THE INITIAL TEST DRIVE OR TRAIL RIDE OF OUR 2000 TOYOTA TACOMA, WE HAD THREE KINDA MINOR COMPLAINTS. TWO WE'VE ALREADY ADDRESSED BY THE WAY OF OUR GRAY WIRE MOD THAT'S GONNA ALLOW US TO LOCK UP THE ELECTRONIC REAR LOCKER ANYTIME WE WANT, AND BY GETTING RID OF THE SIDE STEPS AND SWAPPING THEM OUT FOR SOME ROCKER SKIDS THAT OFFER REAL BODY PROTECTION. NOW THE THIRD ITEM, THE ONLY THING LEFT IS THE POWER ISSUE, OR LACK THERE OF. NOW THE ENGINE'S NO SLOUCH, IT DOES OKAY JUST MOVING THE TRUCK DOWN THE ROAD AND DOWN THE TRAIL, BUT WE WANTED A LITTLE BIT MORE. NOW ON A MODERN EFI THREE POINT FOUR LITER 24 VALVE VSIX LIKE THIS ONE, YOU'RE ONLY GONNA SEE MODEST GAINS WITH THE TYPICAL PROGRAMMER, COLD AIR INTAKE, AND EXHAUST COMBO. IF YOU WANT TO SEE MAJOR GAINS AND BIG IMPROVEMENTS, YOU'RE GONNA HAVE GO WITH FORCED INDUCTION. NOW THERE'S A COUPLE OF OPTIONS OUT THERE ON THE MARKET. THERE'S A ROOTS STYLE SUPERCHARGER AVAILABLE YOU CAN GO WITH, ADD SOME FUEL SYSTEM UPGRADES AND CALL IT A DAY, OR YOU CAN GO WITH A TURBO SYSTEM THAT'S 100 PERCENT BOLT ON. NOW SINCE THE TURBO HAS MORE POWER POTENTIAL AND JUST PLAIN MAKES COOLER NOISE, WE WENT THAT ROUTE. THIS IS A TAIL PIPE TURBO KIT THAT WE PICKED UP FROM SQUIRE'S TURBO SYSTEMS, OR STS. THAT INCLUDES THE AIR INTAKE, ALL THE TURBO PLUMBING, A GT 35 TURBO, A REMOTE MOUNT OIL PUMP, A FUEL MANAGEMENT UNIT, WIRING HARNESS, INTAKE SNORKELS, ALL THE HARDWARE WE'RE GONNA NEED TO COMPLETE THE INSTALLATION ALONG WITH THE WASTE GATE AND BLOW OFF VALVES. SO WHEN ALL THESE PARTS FIND THEIR WAY ONTO THIS TACOMA, WE'RE GONNA BE LOOKING AT ABOUT A 50 PERCENT HORSEPOWER GAIN OVER THE STOCK ENGINE'S RATING. NOW I KNOW YOU GUYS REMEMBER KEVIN'S FIRST GEN RED FORD LIGHTING THAT WE PUT THE UNIVERSAL TAIL PIPE TURBO KIT ON. WELL LIKE WE SAID, THIS ONE IS 100 PERCENT BOLT ON. SO WE'RE HOPING BY THE END OF THE DAY THAT THIS TRUCK IS MOVING UNDER IT'S OWN POWER, BOOSTED POWER.
(KEVIN)>> YOU'VE HEARD US SAY BEFORE THAT AN ENGINE IS NOTHING MORE THAN AN AIR PUMP. WELL A TURBO CHARGER, THERE'S A LOT MORE AIR IN THE PUMP. SO ALL THIS RESTRICTIVE INTAKE, FILTER, AND DUCT WORK, IT'S ALL GOT TO GO AWAY TO MAKE ROOM FOR THE SQUIRE'S TURBO SYSTEM. NOW THE GREAT THING ABOUT A BOLT ON SYSTEM IS THAT THERE'S VERY LITTLE FABRICATION WORK IN THE INSTALLATION, AND IT'S DESIGNED TO WORK ON THE FACTORY MOUNTING POINTS. NOW THIS IS OF COURSE THE INTAKE TUBE THAT'S DUCTED ALL THE WAY TO THE BACK OF THE TRUCK WHERE THE TURBO SITS. YOU'LL NOTICE THAT IT'S A SHINY CERAMIC COATING. IT'S NOT JUST AESTHETICS, ALTHOUGH IT DOES LOOK REALLY GOOD. IT'S COATED INSIDE AND OUTSIDE. CERAMIC COATING IS A GREAT INSULATOR AND WILL HELP CONTROL EXCESSIVE HEAT. HEAT IS A BYPRODUCT AND THE ENEMY OF FORCED INDUCTION WHETHER IT'S TURBO OR SUPER CHARGING. THE OIL FILLER CAP GETS REPLACED BY THE ONE THAT COMES IN THE KIT WITH A QUICK COUPLER THAT CONNECTS TO THE HOSE THAT'S ROUTED ALL THE WAY TO THE BACK OF THE TRUCK.
(RYAN)>> ALRIGHT, NOW WE'VE GOT OUR PCV SWITCH VALVE AND PRESSURE SWITCHES INSTALLED, PLUMBED, AND WIRED. WE'VE ALSO GOT OUR MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR SWAPPED OVER FROM THE STOCK BOX. NOW THE REST OF THE TURBO KIT'S WIRING HARNESS WAS PRETTY STRAIGHT FORWARD. MOST OF IT HAPPENS UNDERNEATH THE HOOD, BUT WE DO HAVE A COUPLE OF WIRES THAT GO THROUGH THE FIREWALL AS WELL AS THIS ONE LONG LEAD THAT GOES BACK TO THE OIL PUMP. NOW WITH THE TRUCK UP IN THE AIR, WE CAN GET TO WORK ROUTING THE PLUMBING FROM THE TURBO CHARGER UP TO THE ENGINE. AND EITHER WE PLANNED THIS OR WE GOT REALLY, REALLY LUCKY CAUSE WE HAD JUST ENOUGH ROOM IN BETWEEN OUR ROCK SLIDER, FRAME, AND BODY TO ROUTE ALL THE TUBING. I'M GOING WITH WE PLANNED IT CAUSE NOT ONLY DOES IT FIT LIKE GLOVE, IT ALSO OFFERS SOME PROTECTION FOR THE TUBING. NOW THERE WAS NO PROTECTION FOR THIS TUBING. THE MUFFLER HAD TO GO TO MAKE ROOM FOR OUR NEW TURBO ASSEMBLY. THE OXYGEN SENSOR AND ITS GASKET GETS REUSED IF YOU REMOVE IT.
FOR NOW WE'RE GONNA STICK WITH THE STOCK CATALYTIC CONVERTER. THAT'LL LEAVE US ROOM FOR AN UPGRADE IN THE FUTURE IF NEED BE. NOW TO GET THE OIL FROM THE TURBO CHARGER BACK TO THE ENGINE, WE NEED TO INSTALL THIS PUMP. THIS PROTECTED AREA ON THE INSIDE OF THE FRAME RAIL IS THE PERFECT SPOT.
(RYAN)>> HEY GUYS, WELCOME BACK TO TRUCKS WHERE WE'RE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE INSTALLATION OF OUR TAIL PIPE TURBO SYSTEM ON OUR 2000 VSIX POWERED TOYOTA TACOMA. NOW WE'VE GOT THE TURBO BOLTED TO THE INLET PIPE USING THE SUPPLIED HARDWARE AND GASKETS, AND WE'RE IN THE MIDDLE OF ADDING THE WASTE GATE, WHICH WILL KEEP THE BOOST PRESSURE AT A CONSERVATIVE FIVE TO SIX PSI AND MAKE SURE WE DON'T DAMAGE THE ENGINE. NOW THE WASTE GATE DOES NEED A REFERENCE SIGNAL COMING FROM THE OUTLET SIDE OF THE TURBO CHARGER TO LET IT KNOW HOW MUCH BOOST PRESSURE IS BEING BUILT. THE OTHER SIDE IS JUST VENTED INTO THE ATMOSPHERE, BUT WE'LL ADD A BREATHER TUBE TO IT TO KEEP DEBRIS OUT OF THE WASTE GAGE. NOW A TURBO CHARGER IS EXHAUST DRIVEN, AND IT'S OBVIOUSLY GONNA GET QUITE HOT. SO TO PREVENT THE HEAT FROM GETTING ONTO PARTS THAT DON'T NEED TO BE WARM, WE'RE ADDING THIS INSULATING JACKET, WHICH WILL SERVE A DOUBLE PURPOSE OF KEEPING THE HEAT INSIDE THE TURBO CHARGER, WHICH ALSO INCREASES EFFICIENCY. AND YES, KEVIN IS DRILLING A GIANT HOLE IN THE BED FLOOR. THERE'S A GOOD REASON FOR IT.
NOW TO CONNECT OUR TURBO INLET TO THE AIR INTAKE SNORKEL TUBE WE'RE USING THIS SPECTRE 90 DEGREE ELBOW AND ONE OF THEIR SILICONE CLAMPS THAT'LL GIVE US A NICE GENTLE RADIUS HEADING TO THE AIR INTAKE TUBE WITHOUT KINKING.
(KEVIN)>> NOW THE REASON WE DRILLED A HOLE IN THE BED FLOOR WAS TO ROUTE OUR AIR INTAKE FILTER UP INTO A CLEAN, DRY, AND PROTECTED AIR SOURCE.
THE CORRUGATED SNORKEL TUBING IS PLENTY LONG TO DUCT IT JUST ABOUT WHEREVER WE WANT, AND WE THOUGHT THE TOOL BOX WAS THE PERFECT SPOT. SO USING A MATCO CORDLESS DRILL AND A GIANT HOLE SAW, WE CUT A HOLE IN THE SIDE OF THE BOX THAT WOULD ALLOW US TO HAVE A CLEAN FILTER PLACEMENT AS WELL AS STILL USE THE BOX FOR STORAGE. AFTER CLEANING OFF THE BURRS, WE'RE USING THE SAME TRICK THAT WE USED IN THE BED FLOOR BY SLICING A PIECE OF VACUUM TUBING DOWN THE MIDDLE AND JUST FITTING IT TO THE EDGE. THIS WILL INSURE THAT OUR HARD EDGE ON THE TOOL BOX WON'T CUT THROUGH THE DUCTING. WE'RE USING A SPECTRE TUBING CLAMP TO FACILITATE THE PLACEMENT OF THE FILTER SO IT DOESN'T JUST FLOP AROUND. ONCE WE FIGURED OUT WHERE THE FILTER NEEDED TO GO WITHOUT ANY KINKS IN THE HOSE, WE LOCKED IT ALL DOWN WITH A PAIR TACK SCREWS AND SOME FLAT WASHERS. THEN TO MAKE SURE THIS THING HAD ENOUGH AIR TO BREATHE, WE WENT TO A SMALLER HOLE SAW AND MADE A COUPLE OF SIMPSON SPEED HOLES.
(RYAN)>> NOW FOR OUR OIL FEED FOR THE TURBO, WE'RE USING THE SUPPLIED STAINLESS STEEL BRAIDED LINE AND BRASS FITTING, AND "T"ED INTO THE FACTORY OIL PRESSURE SENSOR MOUNTING LOCATION. THEN WE'LL JUST RUN IT DOWN THE FRAME RAIL NEXT TO THE OIL RETURN LINE AND WIRING HARNESS FOR THE OIL PUMP. BUT DON'T HOOK IT UP JUST YET. YOU WANT TO START THE ENGINE AND RUN IT AT IDLE UNTIL FRESH, CLEAN OIL COMES OUT OF THE END OF THE LINE AND IT'S FLUSHED OF ANY TRASH OR DEBRIS. YOU DON'T WANT TO PUMP THAT STUFF INTO YOUR NEW TURBO.
(KEVIN)>> HEY, WELCOME BACK TO TRUCKS. WELL ONE OF THE LAST STEPS IN TURBO CHARGING OUR TACOMA IS TO MATCH THE FUEL DELIVERY TO THE EXTRA ATMOSPHERES THAT THE TURBO CHARGER'S GONNA PUT IN, AND THIS WALBRO 255 LITER PER HOUR PUMP IS DEFINITELY UP TO THE TASK. THE PERFORMANCE AND CONSISTENCY OF THE WALBRO 255 PUMP IS LEGENDARY IN THE AFTERMARKET, BUT THE BODY OF THIS PUMP IS LONGER THAN THE STOCK PUMP. SO WE'VE GOT TO DO A LITTLE BIT OF A MODIFICATION OUTSIDE OF THE BASIC WIRING. WE'RE ALSO GONNA DO AWAY WITH THE STOCK SPRING TENSION CLAMPS IN FAVOR OF SOME STANDARD HOSE CLAMPS. NOW RESIST THE TEMPTATION TO USE A CUTOFF WHEEL BECAUSE AS YOU KNOW, SPARKS AND FUEL VAPORS DON'T REALLY MIX. NEVER MIND THE FACT THAT YOU DON'T WANT DEBRIS IN THE INTERNAL PARTS OF THE PUMP. THE MATCO HYDRAULIC FLARE TOOL IS THE PERFECT TOOL FOR THIS PROCEDURE, AND WILL CREATE A SIMPLE BUBBLE FLARE IN SECONDS. EVEN THOUGH THE PUMP IS LOCKED IN AT THE BASE, THIS JUST MAKES SURE THAT NOTHING IS GONNA COME LOOSE INSIDE THE TANK.
ONE LAST STEP IS TO LOCK DOWN THE MODIFIED WIRING HARNESS WITH A COUPLE OF PLASTIC TIES.
(RYAN)>> ALRIGHT, NOW KEVIN'S GOT THE HIGH OUTPUT FUEL PUMP INSTALLED AND WE'VE ADDED THE FUEL MANAGEMENT UNIT AS WELL. THIS IS GONNA INCREASE FUEL PRESSURE AS BOOST PRESSURE INCREASES SO THE ENGINE DOESN'T RUN LEAN. WE'VE ALSO INSTALLED THE BLOW OFF VALVE THAT CAME WITH THE KIT. WHAT THAT DOES IS BLEED OFF AN EXCESS BOOST PRESSURE WHEN YOU SHUT THE THROTTLE. NOW WE'VE DONE OUR SYSTEM CHECKS AND FLUSHED THE OIL LINE, SO WE KNOW WE'RE IN GOOD SHAPE. NOW WE'RE GONNA TAKE IT OUTSIDE AND GIVE IT A QUICK PERFORMANCE TEST, AND ALSO MAKE SURE OUR GRAY WIRE MOD IS WORKING. ( engine starts )
(KEVIN)>> SOUNDS GOOD! NOW OBVIOUSLY WE DON'T HAVE A BOOST REFERENCE GAUGE OR AN AIR/FUEL RATIO GAUGE. WE'LL GET THOSE EVENTUALLY, BUT FOR NOW WE JUST WANTED TO GIVE IT A QUICK POWER TEST AND SEE WHAT IT DOES. ( tires spinning )
(KEVIN)>> IF YOU DRIVE A PICK UP, CHANCES ARE YOU'VE GOT A RECEIVER HITCH, AND A COMPANY CALLED INVENTIVE HITCHES GIVES YOU HUNDREDS OF OPTIONS WITH THEIR PATENTED MODULAR HITCH DESIGN. THE XD BALL MOUNT GIVES YOU TWO DIFFERENT SIZE CHOICES THAT ARE SWITCHABLE IN SECONDS. AND WITH 20 INCHES OF RANGE WITH THE SAME RECEIVER HITCH, IT DOESN'T MATTER IF YOU'VE GOT A LIFTER STREET TRUCK OR A LOW RIDING MINI TRUCK. THE SAME HITCH WORKS ON EVERYTHING. ONCE YOU'VE SETTLED ON A HITCH DESIGN, THEN THE AESTHETICS OPTIONS OPEN WAY UP. AND BY THE WAY, ALL OF THEM ARE LOCKABLE IF SAFETY'S YOUR CONCERN. OTHER OPTIONS INCLUDE STAINLESS STEEL APPLICA'S FOR THE PAINTED HITCHES, AND A VAST ARRAY OF CUSTOM KEY WAYS. SO YOU CAN LITERALLY CUSTOMIZE YOUR HITCH TO MATCH YOUR TRUCK. INVENTIVE HITCHES IS COMING OUT WITH NEW IDEAS AND PRODUCTS ALL THE TIME. SO FOR A COMPLETE LOOK AT THEIR ENTIRE PRODUCT LINE, GO TO THE WEBSITE, INVENTIVE HITCHES DOT COM. THANKS FOR WATCHING TRUCKS, SEE YOU GUYS NEXT WEEK.
