(ANNOUNCER)>> TODAY ON HORSEPOWER, LEARN THE MONEY SAVING SECRETS OF HOME MACHINING IN A CHEVY SMALL BLOCK BUDGET BUILD UP. AND TO TOP IT OFF A NEW KIT FROM EDELBROCK MADE FOR EFFICIENT AND EASY EFI.

(JOE)>> WE DON'T HAVE TO TELL YOU THAT 350 SMALL BLOCK BUILDS ARE ABOUT AS COMMON AS LAWN CHAIRS AT A CAR SHOW.

WE'VE DONE OUR SHARE. BUT TODAY'S IS NOT ONLY GONNA BE UNIQUE, IT'S PROBABLY GONNA BE THE BEST EVER IN TERMS OF PERFORMANCE

FOR THE POCKET BOOK. AND IT ALL BEGINS WITH THIS FIVE POINT SEVEN LITER CHEVY VORTEC THAT WE PICKED UP FOR ABOUT $200 BUCKS. IT WAS THE LAST OF THE ORIGINAL GM SMALL BLOCK DESIGN. THEY WERE INSTALLED IN NEW GM TRUCKS AND VANS BUT NO CARS. USED ONES ARE PLENTIFUL NOW AND PRETTY CHEAP.

(JOHN)>> EXTERNALLY THE BEST WAY TO IDENTIFY A VORTEC IS THE TWO BOLTS IN THE CORNERS OF THE INTAKE MANIFOLD. THERE'S GONNA BE NONE IN THE MIDDLE. NOW THE BEST PART ABOUT THIS BUDGET BUILD IS THAT WE GET TO GET RID OF THIS EFI SYSTEM FOR SOMETHING BETTER.

(JOE)>> YOU BET, IT'S EDELBROCK'S NEW ESTREET EFI SYSTEM. IT'S A UNIVERSAL THROTTLE BODY STYLE SET UP THAT COMES

COMPLETE WITH FUEL RAILS, INJECTORS, SENSORS, LINKAGE, AND IT'S MADE TO FIT UP TO A 4150 FLANGE, SO IT'S PERFECT FOR AN RPM AIR GAP INTAKE. WE'LL SHOW YOU HOW EASY IT IS TO GET GOING WHEN WE INSTALL IT LATER ON.

(JOHN)>> HERE'S AN IMPORTANT TIP IF YOU'RE REUSING ROCKERS AND STUDS, CAUSE WE ARE. DON'T USE AN IMPACT GUN WHEN YOU'RE REMOVING THEM. YOU DON'T WANT TO TAKE THE CHANCE OF DAMAGING THE THREADS IF THE CAM SHAFT'S UP ON ITS LOBE.

(JOE)>> OH, I HATE TO SAY IT, BUT SEE THIS CRACK HERE IN THE CYLINDER HEAD GASKET? THAT MEANS WE MIGHT HAVE A CRACKED HEAD.

(JOHN)>> ACTUALLY JOE'S WRONG, WE'VE GOT TWO CRACKED CYLINDER HEADS. TAKE A LOOK AND I'LL SHOW YOU. IT SPLIT RIGHT DOWN HERE IN THE MIDDLE OF

THESE TWO EXHAUST VALVES.

THE REASON FOR THAT IS THEY CREATE A LOT OF HEAT ON A CHEVY. TWO, PLUS ONCE WE BLEW THE HEAD GASKET AND PULLED ALL THE WATER OUT, WE PROBABLY RAN A LITTLE HOT. NOW WE'VE GOT TWO OPTIONS FOR FIXING THESE CYLINDER HEADS. ONE, TEAR THEM ALL THE WAY DOWN, SEND THEM OFF TO THE MACHINE SHOP. THEY'RE GONNA HAVE TO GO THROUGH EVERYTHING TO MAKE SURE THEY'RE ALL CORRECT JUST TO RUN AGAIN.

(JOE)>> OR WE COULD BUY NEW ONES.

IN FACT ON SUMMIT RACING'S WEBSITE, NEW GM- PERFORMANCE IRON VORTEC HEADS FULLY ASSEMBLED GO

FOR $335.95 A PIECE. THIS IS A BETTER OPTION. NOW THAT WE'VE GOT THAT FIGURED OUT, WE CAN POP OFF THE BALANCER. LETS SPIN IT OVER NOW AND SEE WHAT WE'VE GOT ON THE OTHER SIDE. WE'LL USE NEW FASTENERS FOR THE OIL PAN. BUT THE PAN ITSELF LOOKS LIKE A KEEPER. WE NEED TO MARK THE RODS AND MAINS, MAKE SURE THEY GO

BACK IN THE RIGHT PLACE.

(JOHN)>> A LOT OF SERIOUS CHEVY GUYS TELL US THAT WELL USED VORTECS LIKE THIS USUALLY HAD VERY LITTLE WEAR IN THEIR BOTTOM END COMPONENTS. WE HOPE THOSE CHEVY GUYS ARE RIGHT CAUSE WE PLAN TO REUSE

THE ENTIRE ROTATING ASSEMBLY. NOW HERE'S WHERE MOST GUYS ARE READY TO LOAD UP AND HEAD OFF TO THE MACHINE SHOP.

THE ONLY PROBLEM IS WE'RE NOT GOING. WE'RE GONNA DO IT ALL OURSELVES AND SHOW YOU GUYS HOW. NOW BEFORE WE GET TO IT WE'VE GOT TO GET THIS BLOCK COMPLETELY TORE DOWN AND CLEAN. ALL YOU NEED IS A HAMMER AND A CHISEL TO FREE UP THE FREEZE PLUGS, AND A PAIR OF PLIERS JUST TO PULL THEM OUT. ALL THE CAM BEARINGS HAVE TO BE KNOCKED OUT OF THE BLOCK AS WELL. NEXT THE OIL GALLEY PLUGS.

DID YOU KNOW THERE WAS ONE DOWN UNDERNEATH THIS REAR MAIN CAP? I'M USING A PIECE OF BAR STOCK JUST TO KNOCK IT OUT FROM THE TOP THROUGH THE OIL SENSOR LOCATION. AFTER THAT THE BLOCK'S READY TO GO INTO OUR SAFETY KLEEN FRONT LOADER FOR A THOROUGH WASHING.

(JOE)>> NEXT WE'LL SHOW YOU THE LOW BUDGET WAY TO MACHINE AND PREP RIGHT IN YOUR OWN HOME SHOP.

(JOHN)>> OUR VORTEC BLOCK CLEANED UP PRETTY WELL. AND NOW WE'RE READY TO HANDLE SOME HOME MADE MACHINE WORK. WITH THE EXCEPTION OF A PAIR OF CRACKED HEADS, WE'RE STAYING ON COURSE, REUSING PARTS, AND DOING ALL THE PREP WORK IN HOUSE. EVEN THOUGH THE BLOCK HAD A BATH, WE WANT TO GO OVER REAL GOOD WITH A FILE TO TAKE CARE OF ANY HIGH SPOTS, OR SHARP EDGES, WHICH IS WHERE CRACKS START. PLUS A FLAT SURFACE IS ONLY GOING TO HELP INSURE GOOD PAN SEAL. DON'T FORGET THE TIMING COVER RAIL TOO. IT MAY HAVE SOME LEFTOVER SILICONE OR GASKET MATERIAL. WE CAN NOW FLIP THE BLOCK AND SAND THE DECKS. FIRST IT'S IMPORTANT TO PULL THE DOWEL PINS OUT. WITH 2300 GRIT SAND PAPER AND A PIECE OF FLAT METAL, WORK THE BLOCK FRONT TO BACK AND CORNER TO CORNER. NOW BEFORE WE GO ANY FURTHER, WE NEED TO GO AHEAD

AND CHECK FOR CRACKS. NOW WE'RE GONNA MAGNAFLUX THIS BLOCK WITH A KIT WE GOT FROM GOODSON. AFTER FILLING THE SPRAY BULB WITH THE METAL POWDER, PLACE THE MAGNET AGAINST THE AREA WE WANT TO CHECK FIRST.

THEN SPRINKLE SOME POWDER AROUND IT. IF YOU HAVE A CRACK, THE DUST WILL COLLECT INSIDE IT, AND EVEN THE SMALLEST CRACK WILL BE VISIBLE. AFTER THE DECK YOU WANT TO GO AHEAD AND REPEAT THIS PROCESS IN THE LIFTER VALLEY, ON THE MAINS, AND INSIDE THE CAM TUNNEL.

(JOE)>> NO CRACKS SHOWED UP, SO WE CAN MOVE ON TO CHASING

ALL THE BOLT HOLES INCLUDING THE MAINS. FINDING GREASE AND GRIME IN THESE DURING ASSEMBLY COULD BE BAD NEWS. PLUS DOING THIS HELPS INSURE WE GET THE RIGHT TORQUE SPECS. WE'RE GONNA NEED OUR PISTONS FOR THE NEXT STEP.

SO AFTER WASHING THEM AND THE RODS IN SOLVENT, HERE'S

A HANDY AT HOME TRICK.

CUT AN OLD RING IN HALF AND USE IT AS A CLEANING TOOL IN THE RING LANS. THEN YOU CAN GO OVER THE PISTON SKIRTS AND HEADS WITH SCOTCHBRITE. WHILE YOU CAN'T BORE AND HONE YOUR BLOCK THE WAY A MACHINE SHOP DOES, WITH A FEW SPECIALTIES TOOLS YOU CAN PICK

UP AT A PARTS STORE YOU CAN HONE THE CYLINDER WALLS ENOUGH TO KNOCK OFF THE GLAZE AND GIVE THEM A NICE, SMOOTH FINISH WITH A CROSS HATCH FOR GOOD RING SEAL. START BY MIKING THE PISTONS AND WRITING DOWN THE MEASUREMENTS. THEN USE A BORE GAUGE IN THE CYLINDERS TAKING THREE READINGS FOR TAPER, AND ANOTHER SIDE TO SIDE FOR ROUNDNESS WRITING THE VARIANCE ON THE DECK. NEXT TAKE A THREE STONE CYLINDER HONE, AND USING LOTS OF WD 40 WORK THE CYLINDER WALLS UP AND DOWN SLOWLY. MAKE SURE NOT TO STOP IN ONE AREA. RECHECK THE READINGS, AND REMEMBER, WE'RE NOT TRYING TO

GET BIGGER, JUST SMOOTHER.

THEN USE A PIECE OF SCOTCHBRITE TO GET ALL THE

STONE GRIT OFF THE WALLS. NOW TAKE A BALL HONE FROM GOODSON TO REWORK THE WALLS. THIS TIME SPINNING THE BALL HONE IN REVERSE.

IF IT WAS A SMALLER BALL HONE WE COULD TOUCH

UP THE LIFTER BORES.

(JOHN)>> I WANT TO GO AHEAD AND FINISH SANDING THE DECK. THIS TIME I STARTED WITH 80 GRIT DRY, AND FINISHING UP WITH 200 USING WD 40. THEN A LITTLE MORE FILING AROUND THE EDGES. I ALSO LIKE TO DEBUR THE TOPS OF THE CYLINDERS. IT'S JUST GONNA HELP THE RINGS GO IN EASIER. ONE MORE FINAL TRIP TO THE WASHER BEFORE WE PREP

THE BLOCK FOR ASSEMBLY. NOW THE FIRST STEP FOR ASSEMBLY IS GONNA BE TO INSTALL OUR CAM BEARINGS. NOW HERE'S WHERE I LIKE TO SLOW DOWN AND GO THROUGH AN EXTRA STEP, AND I'LL SHOW YOU WHY. EVEN NEW BEARINGS CAN COME WITH ROUGH EDGES LIKE THIS. AND IF YOU TRIED TO INSTALL A CAM, IT COULD ROLL THAT MATERIAL INTO THE BEARING AND ABSOLUTELY RUIN IT. SO I LIKE TO TAKE JUST A SIMPLE BEARING SCRAPER AND GO AHEAD AND BEVEL THE INSIDE EDGES OF THE CAM BEARING. NOW THIS IS GONNA HELP SAVE THE RUBBER ON YOUR CAM BEARING INSTALLER AS WELL AS THE CAM SHAFT WHEN YOU INSTALL IT. WHEN YOU GET DONE, JUST TAKE A PIECE OF SCOTCHBRITE, POLISH THE BEARING UP. WITH THE BLOCK OUT AND DRIED, WE CAN INSTALL THE CAM BEARINGS. SINCE A SMALL BLOCK CHEVY'S CAM BORE HOUSING ARE GROOVED

FOR ROLLING, YOU DON'T HAVE TO GET IT RIGHT ON THE HOLE PERFECTLY FOR LINE UP. BUT LETS USE A MIRROR AND SEE HOW CLOSE I GOT. AM I GOOD OR WHAT? THE REST OF THE BEARINGS GO IN THE SAME WAY. NOW IF YOU DON'T HAVE A MIRROR, A FLASH LIGHT WORKS JUST AS WELL. AFTER INSTALLING THE BACK FLOOR, TAKE OUT THE INSTALLER AND GO IN FROM THE BACK TO INSTALL THE NUMBER ONE BEARING.

IT'LL KEEP YOUR INSTALL TOOL STRAIGHT AND INSURE A GOOD BEARING FIT. I'M GONNA GO AHEAD AND INSTALL THE CAM SHAFT DRY TEMPORARILY. THIS IS JUST TO MAKE SURE IT SPINS FREELY ENOUGH. IF YOU CAN TURN IT BY HAND LIKE THAT DRY IT'S RIGHT. SO NOW I CAN GO AHEAD AND TAKE IT BACK OUT AND HIT THE BEARINGS WITH A LITTLE BIT MORE SCOTCHBRITE.

(JOE)>> NEXT THE OIL GALLEY PLUGS CAN GO BACK IN, FOLLOWED BY THE REAR CAM PLUG. REMEMBER THAT PLUG UNDER THE REAR MAIN CAP REMOVED EARLIER? DON'T FORGET TO INSTALL THE NEW ONE FROM THE FREEZE PLUG KIT OR YOU WON'T HAVE ANY OIL PRESSURE. AT THIS POINT WE CAN PAINT THE BLOCK, AND FOR THAT WE'RE USING GREY DUPLICOLOR ENGINE ENAMEL, WHICH CAN HANDLE TEMPERATURES UP TO 500 DEGREES.

BY PAINTING IT NOW YOU CAN ALSO SEE THE BRASS FREEZE

PLUGS WE'RE INSTALLING. THROUGHOUT THIS PROJECT WE'VE USED SCOTT PRO SHOP TOWELS. FOR OUR MONEY THEY'RE THE STRONGEST, MOST ABSORBENT ALL PURPOSE TOWEL YOU CAN GET. WELL THAT'S IT FOR PREP. THIS BLOCK'S READY FOR LOADING ON AN ENGINE STAND AND ASSEMBLING.

(JOE)>> OUR VORTEC BLOCK IS CLEANED, PREPPED, AND READY FOR ASSEMBLY. ALONG WITH THE PISTONS, RODS, AND CRANK SHAFT, THE ONLY ORIGINAL PART WE HAD SEND OUT FOR WORK, AND THAT WAS JUST FOR A $30 BUCK PART STORE POLISHING JOB. OF COURSE WE DID HAVE CRACKS IN THE OLD HEADS, AND WE HAD

TO GET THESE STOCK GM REPLACEMENTS. OTHERWISE THE ONLY NEW STUFF WE HAD TO SPRING FOR IS BASICALLY THE ESTREET SETUP YOU'LL SEE A LOT OF LATER, NEW INTAKE MANIFOLD, WATER PUMP, SOME NEW LIFTERS, TIMING SET, AND VALVE COVERS ALL FROM EDELBROCK. PLUS ONE OF THEIR ROLLER CAMS YOU SAW US TEST FITTING EARLIER. WITH A GOOD COATING OF LUBE THAT CAME WITH IT, THIS HYDRAULIC ROLLER'S READY TO GO IN. IT'S A MORE AGGRESSIVE YET VERY STREETABLE REPLACEMENT FOR THE STOCKER. DURATION AT 50 THOUSANDTHS IS 234/238, LIFT AT THE VALVE 539/548. NEW BEARINGS ARE PART OF THE RERING KIT WE GOT FROM SUMMIT RACING. AND AFTER PLENTY OF LUBE WE CAN DROP IN THE CRANK SHAFT. WITH NEW BEARINGS IN THE STOCK MAIN CAPS WE CAN DROP THEM IN PLACE. WE'RE ALSO REUSING THE FACTORY MAIN BOLTS, AND YOU'LL SEE WHY IN A MINUTE. FOR NOW A QUICK CHECK OF THE END PLAY, IT'S GOOD, AND WE CAN MOVE ON TO THE TIMING SET, INSTALLING IT STRAIGHT UP. WE'VE ALREADY INSTALLED RINGS AND BEARINGS FROM THE SUMMIT KIT, SO OUR STOCK PISTONS AND RODS CAN GO IN NOW.

AT THIS POINT, THE NEW TIMING COVER CAN BE INSTALLED. THIS NEW OIL PUMP DRIVE SHAFT CAME FROM ARP. AND WHILE PINCHING PENNIES WE DID SPRING FOR A PARTS STORE

OIL PUMP TO USE WITH THE OLD PICK UP. HERE'S WHY WE REUSED THOSE STOCK MAIN BOLTS. THEY FIT THE FACTORY WINDAGE TRAY THAT WE WANT TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF. AND WITH THAT DONE WE CAN LAY DOWN A GASKET FOR THE STOCK OIL PAN. WE ARE USING NEW ARP BOLTS TO KEEP IT IN PLACE. ONE MORE PARTS STORE REPLACEMENT, THIS NEW BASIC BALANCER, WHICH WRAPS UP ALL THE BOTTOM END WORK. ON TOP WE'RE READY TO INSTALL THE FACTORY REPLACEMENT VORTEC HEADS.

(JOHN)>> NOW FOR YOU UP AND COMING GEAR HEADS, THE BASIC DESIGN OF THIS CYLINDER HEAD WAS TO CREATE A VORTEX. NOW THAT'S A POWERFUL CIRCULATION OF AIR, KINDA LIKE A TORNADO, AND IT ALL HAPPENS RIGHT HERE IN THE COMBUSTION CHAMBER. WHEN THE FUEL AND AIR IS SUCKED IN THROUGH THE INTAKE, THIS UNIQUE PATTERN FORCES THEM INTO A RAPID SPIRAL,

SHOOTING THEM DOWN INTO THE CYLINDER, INCREASING ATOMIZATION WITH BETTER FUEL ECONOMY, AND BEST OF ALL, MORE

ENERGY ON THE POWER STROKE.

(JOE)>> HERE'S THE STUFF THAT'LL LET YOU TAKE

ADVANTAGE OF THAT SWIRL. INDEX YOUR SPARK PLUGS WITH A SET OF INDEXING WASHERS

YOU CAN GET AT A LOCAL PARTS STORE. YOU WANT TO INSTALL THEM SO THAT THE OPEN AREA OF THE GAP FACES THE CENTER OF THE COMBUSTION CHAMBER SLIGHTLY FAVORING THE EXHAUST VALVE. OF COURSE YOU'LL BE DOING THIS WITH THE HEADS ON YOUR ENGINE, SO HERE'S A LITTLE TIP. MAKE SURE YOU MAKE A MARK ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE SPARK PLUG THAT LINES UP WITH THAT GAP.

AFTER INSTALLING THE HEADS AND SECURING THEM WITH NEW ARP'S, THE REST OF THE VALVE TRAIN CONSISTS OF NEW LIFTERS, SPIDER TRAY, AND PUSH RODS FROM EDELBROCK. AFTER REINSTALLING THE ROCKERS, WE'RE READY FOR AN INTAKE MANIFOLD AND THE MAIN ATTRACTION, OUR NEW ESTREET SYSTEM.

(JOE)>> WE'RE BACK AND NOW OUR CHEVY VORTEC ENGINE IS READY FOR A NEW WAY TO FEED IT FUEL, AND THAT IS GONNA BE THIS NEW UNIVERSAL ESTREET SYSTEM FROM EDELBROCK.

NOW THIS IS A GREAT WAY TO UPGRADE FROM YOUR CARBURETOR TO EFI WITHOUT THE HASSLES OF A FULL MULTIPORT SYSTEM. YOU GET TO SAY GOODBYE TO LEAKS, JET CHANGES, AND COLD START ISSUES AND ENJOY MORE DRIVABILITY AND

BETTER FUEL ECONOMY. EARLIER WE SHOWED YOU THIS FULLY ASSEMBLED 1,000 CFM THROTTLE BODY, AND WHAT CONTROLS IT IS THIS ECU THAT COMES READY TO RUN OUT OF THE BOX WITH YOUR PARAMETERS LOADED IN IT. IT ALSO HAS A SELF MAPPING FUEL CURVE TO CORRECT AND DIAL IN YOUR TUNE. THIS SIMPLE TO INSTALL HARNESS EASILY TUCKS INTO AN ENGINE COMPARTMENT AND COMES WITH THESE OEM STYLE CONNECTORS. AND WHEN PLUGGED INTO THE ECU MAKES FOR A WEATHER TIGHT SYSTEM.

(MIKE)>> NOW THE COOL PART, THE FIRST SEVEN INCH TOUCH

SCREEN MONITOR THAT LETS YOU TELL THE ECU WHAT TO DO WIRELESSLY BY BLUE TOOTH CONNECTION. CHECK THIS OUT! THIS THING HOUSES EVERYTHING LIKE THE INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE

ENTIRE SYSTEM, PLUS IT ALLOWS YOU TO CONTROL THINGS LIKE DUAL COOLING FANS, A/C RELAYS, AND IT EVEN HAS A LIVE DASH BOARD SO YOU CAN SEE WHAT THE ENGINE IS DOING WHEN IT'S RUNNING. NOW WE'LL GET BACK TO THIS A LITTLE MORE ONCE WE GET THE ENGINE ON THE DYNO. WE'RE GOING TO MOUNT THE THROTTLE BODY TO AN RPM AIR GAP DUAL PLANE INTAKE MANIFOLD HELD IN PLACE WITH ARP FASTENERS.

THIS OPEN AIR SPACE SEPARATES THE RUNNERS FROM THE FLOOR AND IS GOOD FOR A COOLER CHARGE FOR MORE POWER. WITH THAT DONE WE CAN DROP ON THE VALVE COVERS AND BOLT UP THIS TWO PIECE INSERT STYLE WATER PUMP FROM EDELBROCK. IT'S DESIGNED ESPECIALLY FOR SMALL BLOCK CHEVYS THAT

SEE A LOT OF TRACK USE. IT'S A SHORT STYLE PUMP THAT'LL SAVE WEIGHT, YET GIVE INCREASED COOLING AND DURABILITY. NOW WE'RE RUNNING AN HEI DISTRIBUTOR FROM SUMMIT RACING, AND AFTER THE HOLD DOWN CLAMP, WE'RE ADDING A CORRECTED CAP FROM ACCEL DESIGNED FOR A TIDIER PLUG WIRE ARRANGEMENT. THE ESTREET TBI'S MADE TO MOUNT UP TO ANY SQUARE BORE INTAKE MANIFOLD WITH A 4150 FLANGE. THE HARNESS CONNECTIONS ARE NEXT, INCLUDING SENSORS FOR THE IDLE AIR CONTROL, THE FOUR 60 POUND INJECTORS, AIR TEMP, THROTTLE POSITION, MAP, FUEL PRESSURE AND ON THE ENGINE A WATER TEMP SENSOR. OF COURSE WITHOUT THIS THE OTWO SENSOR, IT JUST WON'T RUN. THERE ARE ALSO WIRES FOR A HOT, GROUND, AND SWITCHED 12 VOLT SOURCE. PLUS A TACH INPUT CONNECTION FROM THE NEGATIVE SIDE OF THE COIL.

(JOE)>> WHAT OUR ESTREET KIT DOESN'T COME WITH IS THE HIGH PRESSURE FUEL DELIVERY SYSTEM, WHICH YOU'LL NEED TO USE IT IN YOUR VEHICLE. FINALLY SINCE WE'RE RUNNING A MECHANICAL WATER PUMP, WE NEED TO INSTALL A PAIR OF PULLEYS TO DRIVE IT.

(MIKE)>> NOW IT'S THE TABLET'S TURN. I JUST TAPPED VEHICLE SETUP ON THE TOUCH SCREEN TO ENTER OUR ENGINE INFORMATION AND SELECT THE PARAMETERS WE WANT. THE SENSORS ARE ALL READING, SO WE'RE READY

FOR THE FIRE UP.

WHEN THE WATER TEMP IS HIGH ENOUGH, WE'RE SET TO GO.

WE'RE GONNA RUN STEP RUNS TO INSURE THE EFI HAS A LEARNING CYCLE. THE FIRST FROM 2,500 TO 3,500 RPM.

LOOK HOW SMOOTH THAT GRAPH IS. THEN 2,500 TO 4,500.

STILL A SUPER CLEAN GRAPH. AND FINALLY 2,500 TO 6,000. NICE LITTLE PIECE. 355 HORSEPOWER, 388 FOOT POUNDS OF TORQUE. FOR THE SECOND PULL IT'S REALLY CONSISTENT, 359, 388. AND EVERYTHING LOOKS PERFECT, ABSOLUTELY PERFECT. I WASN'T EXPECTING THIS MOTOR TO BE THIS HEALTHY. IT'S NOT JUST GREAT POWER, ALL THE TEMPERATURES AND AIR FUEL RATIOS ARE HOLDING STEADY.

360,388, IT DOESN'T GET ANY MORE CONSISTENT OUT OF THE BOX THAT FAST, THAT'S AMAZING! OF COURSE THOUGH IF THERE'S ANY MORE IN IT, WE'RE GONNA FIND IT. TWO MORE DEGREES OF TIMING FOR 32 TOTAL. 369, 397, IT LIKED THE TWO DEGREES A LOT, CAN'T BEAT IT. NOW THIS GOES TO SHOW THAT YOU CAN AFFORDABLY REFRESH AND ENGINE LIKE THIS AT HOME. AND WITH THE RIGHT PARTS COMBINATION LIKE WE'VE GOT YOU CAN MAKE SOME PRETTY AMAZING HORSEPOWER AND TORQUE NUMBERS. NOW THE REAL STORY IS WITH THE ESTREET EFI. IT WAS SUPER SIMPLE TO INSTALL, ALL THE PARAMETERS WERE EASY TO ENTER INTO THE TABLET, AND EVERYTHING GETS STORED HERE. PLUS WHEN EDELBROCK HAS UPDATES, YOU CAN DOWNLOAD AND USE THEM. NOW ONE THING I REALLY WANT YOU TO TRUST ME ON, FOR A SYSTEM THAT CAN SUPPORT 600 HORSEPOWER LIKE THIS,

YOU'LL WANT TO REPLACE THAT OLD CARBURETOR.
