Get a 360-Degree View of the New Muscle Car-Inspired Batmobile

The Batman will be hitting theaters March 4th, and with every new rendition of the caped crusader comes a new version of the iconic Batmobile.

Inspired by classic muscle cars of the 1950s and 1960s, the new Batmobile boasts a V8 with 650 horsepower left completely exposed out of the rear while donning a pair of turbochargers, an exhaust system that spouts flames, and a sinister matte finish that is enough to make the criminals of Gotham shiver with fear.

The Batmobile has gone through a very diverse evolution throughout the years. From its original form as a 1936 Cord 810 Right-Hand-Drive Phaeton, to its outlandish sports car phases, to the rugged tank-like versions we are familiar with today.

But given the car’s long history, the latest Batmobile is the first to rock features strongly inspired by muscle cars with its robust hood, bold bumper, rugged wheels, and more that can take as much abuse as the dark knight himself.
