(KEVIN)>> SO HERE'S WHAT WE'RE STARTING WITH. THESE ARE BILSTEIN'S 5,100 SERIES MONOTUBE SHOCKS. THESE ARE A GAS PRESSURIZED SHOCK. SO THE OIL WON'T CAVITATE, GIVING YOU FADE FREE PERFORMANCE. THEY'VE ALSO GOT OTHER FEATURES LIKE THESE HEAVY DUTY VULCANIZED BUSHINGS. BUT THIS IS NOT JUST ABOUT A SHOCK UPGRADE.

WE'RE ALSO GONNA LIFT THIS THING UP.

OUR BILSTEIN SHOCKS ARE DESIGNED TO WORK IN CONJUNCTION WITH THIS TWO AND A HALF INCH AEV LIFT SYSTEM, WITH BRACKETS THAT RETAIN THE FACTORY GEOMETRY, REAR TRACK BAR RELOCATION BRACKET, BUMP STOP KITS, REAR REPLACEMENT TRACK BAR, AND PROGRESSIVE RATE COIL SPRINGS ON ALL FOUR CORNERS. NOW THESE SHOCKS ARE CUSTOM VALVED TO WORK WITH THE AEV COIL SPRINGS. AS A MATTER OF FACT THEY WERE ALL TESTED TOGETHER ON THE CHRYSLER PROVING GROUNDS. SO YOU KNOW THAT YOU'RE GONNA GET COMPONENTS THAT ARE DESIGNED TO WORK TOGETHER.

(RYAN)>> THE KIT INCLUDES A NEW LOWER BUMP STOP PAD,

BUT THE LOWER SEAT NEEDS TO BE DRILLED OUT FIRST TO INSTALL IT. MAKE SURE TO INSTALL THE NEW BUMP STOPS AND THE COIL SPRING AT THE SAME TIME.

THE FACTORY SWAY BAR END LINKS AND HARDWARE ARE REUSED AND ATTACHED TO A RELOCATION BRACKET PROVIDED WITH THE KIT.

(KEVIN)>> ALONG WITH THE BILSTEIN SHOCKS WE'RE ADDING A NEW STEERING STABILIZER. NOW ALL COIL SPRUNG JEEPS ARE SUSCEPTIBLE TO STEERING SHIMMY OR DEATH WOBBLE, AND A GOOD STEERING STABILIZER WILL HELP REDUCE THE CHANCE OF THAT HAPPENING.

(RYAN)>> OUT BACK IT'S PRETTY MUCH THE SAME AS THE FRONT SUSPENSION EXCEPT THE REAR TRACK BAR GETS REPLACED INSTEAD OF REUSING IT.

AS TO NOT OVER EXTEND THE BRAKE LINES DURING TEARDOWN, THEY ARE UNBOLTED FROM THE FRAME. AFTER REMOVING THE SHOCKS AND LETTING THE AXLE DROOP, WE CAN SAFELY REMOVE THE COIL SPRINGS.

NOW TO INSTALL THE LONGER REPLACEMENT SPRINGS WE NEEDED TO DISCONNECT THE REAR SWAY BAR. DON'T FORGET THE FACTORY RUBBER SWING ISOLATORS.

(KEVIN)>> NOW ALONG WITH THE NEW TRACK BAR THE REAR GETS A TRACK BAR RELOCATION BRACKET, WHICH ATTACHES WITH SUPPLIED UBOLTS. THE COMBINATION OF THESE TWO PART ACCOMMODATES FOR THE NEW LIFT HEIGHT AND CENTERS THE AXLE UNDER THE JEEP.

CUSTOM VALVE BILSTEINS FINISH UP THE INSTALL.

(KEVIN)>> AFTER TRIMMING THE OE FENDER LINER TO THE EDGE OF THE SHEET METAL, IT GETS CLIPPED BACK INTO PLACE FOLLOWED BY THE MOUNTING BRACKETS FOR THE NEW FLAT STYLE FLARES. THE BRACKETS USE EXISTING HOLES IN THE FENDERS AND SUPPLIED STAINLESS STEEL HARDWARE.

THE FLAT STYLE FLARES HAVE DOT APPROVED MARKER LIGHTS THAT REQUIRE A SIMPLE SPLICE INTO THE FACTORY MARKER LIGHT WIRING. BY THE WAY, MAKE SURE TO CHECK THAT YOU'VE GOT THE CORRECT POLARITY FOR YOUR LIGHTS BEFORE FINAL INSTALLATION OF THE FLARE. NOW THE COOL THING ABOUT THE WAY THIS JEEP IS EQUIPPED IS IT ALREADY HAS FACTORY FOG LIGHTS AND A NICE LOOKING SWITCH ON THE DASH. SO ALL WE'RE GONNA DO IS TIE INTO THAT SWITCH AND WE DON'T REALLY HAVE TO REWIRE ANYTHING. THE NEW AND HEAVIER 35'S. DON'T THROW THE BOLTS AWAY. THEY'RE GONNA SEAL UP THE HOLES IN THE SHEET METAL TAILGATE. OUR TIRE CARRIER IS A SWING AWAY DESIGN THAT PIVOTS ON A ONE AND A HALF INCH WELDED STEEL PIN ON

POLYURETHANE PADDING ON THE LATCH PREVENTS RATTLING, AND IT'S LOCKED INTO PLACE WITH A LANYARD AND A DETENT PIN SO YOU DON'T LOSE IT.
