Optical Illusion Tricked Motorists Into Thinking This Was an Open Pit

A viral video has had viewers guessing about whether or not there was an open, unguarded pit in the middle of a tunnel.

Before entering the tunnel, the driver filming the video hits his brakes and turns on his hazard lights after he notices something very odd.

Thinking it was a pit in the middle of the road, the driver says, “That’s just a pit. What the f**k. They don’t have this s**t blocked off or something?”

Another driver is seen entering the tunnel who also happens to be perplexed by the supposed pit. But as the driver slowly passes, it is quickly realized that it was really just a large puddle of water.

Nature certainly has an interesting sense of humor.
