If you like it, you’ll soon be able to build your own. GM’s K5 Blazer-E serves as a showpiece for it’s upcoming Electric Connect and Cruise conversion kit. With the kit, you can convert pretty much anything the battery and motor will fit in into an electric vehicle.

Included in the kit is a 200 hp/266 lb-ft electric motor based on the one used in the Chevy Bolt EV, a 60-kilowatt-hour battery pack, a power control unit, wiring harness, and a liquid cooling system for the batteries.

While the motor does provide direct drive in the Bolt platform, GM hooked it up to a 4-speed automatic transmission. GM will also provide training to custom car outfits interested in making the swap to customers when it goes on sale late next year. Pricing has yet to be announced.

GM has said this kit is the first of a line of eCrate packages it plans to offer that will include high-performance versions.
