Jay Leno Involved in Motorcycle Accident, 2 Months After Being Injured in Car Fire
Stand-up comedian, tv host, and auto enthusiast Jay Leno just cannot seem to catch a break lately. Two months after suffering third-degree burns to his hands and face from a fire caused by one of his cars in his extensive collection, Leno was sent to hospital again after being involved in a serious motorcycle accident.
According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, earlier this month, Leno was out test-riding a vintage 1940 Indian motorcycle when he suddenly noticed the scent of leaking gas. From there he rode the motorcycle through a nearby parking lot. Leno says that there was a wire strung across the lot, but with no flags hanging from it. By the time he noticed, it was too late.
Leno says he was clotheslined by the wire, knocking him off the motorcycle.
Following the accident, Leno received a broken collarbone, two broken ribs, and two cracked kneecaps.
Thankfully, Leno says he is back on the mend and is actually still performing this weekend.
